Perched high on the Lookout Point hillside overlooking Frenchmen's Bay with views of Porcupine Islands, Schoodic Peninsula, the Atlantic Ocean and the village of Bar Harbor. The Rockbilt estate entrance is bordered by two large stone pillars on either side of the driveway. The meticulous gardens and landscaping include unique and historic features grand anchor from a sunken Swedish ship and gifted by King Gustaf to the great grandfather of the owner; enormous rocks, stone art work, and significant garden sculptures.

The morning sunrise and evening moonrise are breathtaking. This location brought the original aristocracy in 1880's to locate and build their mansions on these hills which was preferred for the heart-stopping views versus of the lower ocean frontage. There is much to explore on the estate and private enclave.

ROCKBILT VISTA is a newly constructed luxury wing of the main house. A private entrance to Vista is a covered western facing open porch with stone walls and Polo-Blue bold board and batten siding from wood harvested on the property. Take in the enchanting views into the forest with its moss-covered floor and grand mature and old growth trees.

The stone floor entry hall opens through an antique stained glass door. With every attention to detail, the living room has 10' ceilings covered in 24 inch planks milled from old growth pine on the property. A floor to ceiling stone fireplace, an elegant oversized chandeliers and stone floors with substantial furniture create the atmosphere of Bar Harbor taste and traditions. The black floor to ceiling fully equipped kitchen with professional gas stove and a seating island is a chef's dream. The kitchen is furnished with everyday dishware to elegant china as well as supplies from linens to cookware.

The Stately Hemingway Collection dining table seats 10 in high back leather and wood carved matching chairs. A baby grand piano, a game area, a leather couch and Persian rugs are stunning additions to the gathering space. Large windows with designer draperies, a half bath and two eight-foot-high French doors connect to the elegantly furnished 14x30 foot screen porch with another large granite fireplace and extraordinary views finish the first floor. Comfortable seating surround the fireplace, the dining area is comfortable anytime time of the day

The second floor with 9' ceilings has two bedrooms, two baths and more. The master bedroom includes an entry area with a walk-in closet and lovely chandelier, a spa bath, a bunk alcove, high end furnishings and art, a fireplace and an amazing terrace. The bedroom with its king size bed and sitting area has a fireplace and large windows and two glass doors that open to the very large outdoor patio. The stone wall and floor spa bathroom includes a walk-in shower with wall and rain shower heads and a two-person lighted fancy whirlpool. Marble top double vanity and private toilet room with stone floors and built in makeup table and sitting area offer a complete spa experience. The connected 14x30 foot terrace is set in the tree tops and accessed through glass doors from the bathroom or the bedroom. The terrace includes an outdoor shower and fully furnished sunning area, table and chairs for enjoying the most stunning and breathtaking views in all of Bar Harbor. Cable rails offer security and full vision to the views. 1000 count Egyptian cotton sheets and plush thick oversize towels, down comforters and designer covers and throw pillows are on all beds.

The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and French furniture and drapery and a stunning chandelier and a bath which includes a stone walk-in shower with rain heads and marble top vanity. Beautiful views of the ocean and the gardens from the windows.

- A large bluestone patio with large gas fireplace and teak furniture is shared with the entire connected building.
- Walking paths and garden areas are throughout the property.
- Billiard room and library is open for cocktail hour one evening a week.
