We had the absolute best stay! We were in Edmonton for our daughterâs wedding. We had family here from out of province and the US. Augustine was very gracious and allowed us to have extended family over for meals, and allowed the girls in the bridal party to get ready there the morning of the wedding. The beds were super comfortable. The house was super clean. Would stay there again without hesitation.
We enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the cleanliness of the duplex. Having access to the garage was a bonus! The host was great with communicating.
We had an excellent stay at this property. Very clean, spacious and well-equipped / furnished. We appreciated the large laundry and being able to park in the garage. The kitchen was missing a few minor things (like baking pans/sheets) but otherwise had everything we needed. We had two infants so a high chair would have been nice also. The location was perfect - out of the way and quiet but very accessible to major routes and the rest of the city. Some construction going on in the area but it didnât bother us. And had great access to a network of really nice walking /running trails along the River. Owners were very accessible and communication was clear. Electronic locks and codes worked great. Overall it was a fabulous place to stay for a few nights, and weâll definitely be back.
The house is new and was clean; it was very nice to be able to park in the garage. There is a suite downstairs that is rented and the walls are very thin, we could hear everything; with that stated the man living downstairs was not noisy or loud and I am sure he could hear us as well.
There are a few suggestions made to the owner by previous guests and I would like to concur with them.
1. Get nightstand in the bedrooms and lamps, I would also add plugin nightlights in the hallways or at the very least in the hallway bathroom. Not having any soft lighting made it really tough to find all that I needed to take care of my 5 month old grandson who would wake every two hours to eat. This is not a huge expense in my opinion and second hand stores (there are plenty in Edmonton) may have some cute stuff for cheap.
2. Get a cookie sheet so that you could warm food up in the stove. While there I only had enough foil to cover and warm up a sandwich the first night because I did not want it microwaved.
3. If you know that items are broken then removed them before you have guests checking in. There was one lamp upstairs and it was broken. I contacted the owner and she told me that she knew about it, so why leave it there, no point having a lamp no one can use.
The above items missing would not deter me from renting from the owner again. We enjoyed being able to spend time as a family there and still consider it a 5 star stay. Thank you!
The check in was so easy! House was spotless and beautiful! Was pleasantly surprised at all the extras the host provided- from slippers and bath robes to makeup wipes to coffee and bottled water to miscellaneous food in the pantry! Host responded as soon as we checked in to see if things were ok and for a contact number. Thanked us at checkout. I would absolutely stay here again. Quiet and new subdivision!! Loved it. Made our weekend so enjoyable đ
