This large, private lakehouse sits directly on Elk Lake, with 2 acre private estate, lawns and forest, with 50 ' to Elk Lake waterfront, activity trails, beaches and water sports - perfect for families, weddings and reunions w/ hiking, running, swimming for athletes, Triathletes, outdoor and water sports new stand-up paddle 2x (SUP) boards and lake floaters, included. Extensive private lawns and forest, BBQs, gazebo. Pet (dog and cat) friendly! The Lake House sits on a large, sun drenched private estate with endless lawns and evergreen forest, w/ direct private access to gorgeous Elk Lake and beaches, w/ parks, running and dog trails, endless fresh water swimming, sunbathing, SUP paddle boarding, sailing, waterskiing, fishing, biking, and birdwatching - all only 50 ft away by magical forest trail - a perfect for family reunions/BBQ's, large corporate events and weddings or romantic runaway. Two acres private lawns w/ mature trees and green lawns, surrounded by lush evergreen tree forest. South facing lawns and decks w/ views of lake. Wedding Garden Party

Very large property with manicured lawns perfect for our outdoor garden party. The house has many updated top quality appliances and electronics and easily accommodates 10 guests for sleeping and dining. The outdoor loungers, fire pit and dining area were great.

Nice location, many other issues

Weak orientation, cameras were not disclosed. When we got there the kitchen fridge & freezer were full of owners food, no room for ours. We were told we could use it (disgusting) because she didn’t want to move it. Pantry & cupboard full of owners food. It was partially moved to sunroom fridge that was supposed to be empty. See in pics what it looked like. We booked for event assuming we could use both fridges. Closets were full of owners items, lived out of suitcase like a hotel for 5 days. It was not clean, booked for event and had to clean all outdoor furniture and request a fire pit that was listed. They set up a propane pit, we were not made aware before we got there. It was not clean compared to all the other Vrbos we stayed in. We cleaned it. Laundry was left in washer. Picture show issues. The posting is from favourable angles and are old.

Great Hub for Golf weekend

Beautiful, quiet, central location, awesome amenities...we only wish we had left a day open to simply enjoy the property and Elk Lake! Fantastic spot that we would book again! Thank, Jonathan, for a great stay...you've got a fantastic property!

Family Wedding/Reunion

Great home for a large family group to gather and entertain others. (With hosts agreement) Well equipped kitchen, grill, dishes and glassware for a large group. The outdoor patio and grass area were perfect for entertaining and games. Access to the lake and use of the paddleboards was appreciated, on a warm summer weekend.

This place is close enough to the city for convenience, but makes you feel like you’re in the countryside so you can relax and have fun with your friends without the busyness of the city. If it’s available, grab it.

beautiful and comfortable lake house

We loved our Time at Jonathan's lake house. We loved that it was located a little bit outside of Victoria proper but still very easy to access all restaurants, shops and sightseeing opportunities. Jonathan met us at the Home to give us a quick walk-through of the property which we found to be very helpful. my daughter and I enjoyed running around the lake trail in the morning, which is just literally in the backyard. My husband was able to use one of Jonathan's paddle boards and go for a morning paddle. We love to come back to this wonderful home.

Large home on a 2acre lot with lake access

This was a great home for our family vacation. The location was excellent, and the large lot with access to Elk Lake provided us with something for everyone. The house had all the amenities we needed and comfortably accommodated all 7 of us. The host was very thorough and helpful.

Tranquil lake house

Comfortable lake house with a big backyard. We watched a baby deer frolicking in the grass one morning. In the backyard there is a trail directly to the lake. All the amenities you need for fun getaway

Daughter’s hockey trip

We book the lake house for our daughter’s provincial hockey tournament during March break weekend. Everyone just loves the place, big yard which is excellent for my two frenchies. They don’t get that big space to run around at home. My son and husband definitely enjoyed the wood stove. Very quiet neighborhood, but very easy to access to everywhere. The house is very clean, when we arrived, owner of the house Jonathan showed his hospitality and he showed us around, he is super friendly! Very positive experience, we are even start to plan come back again! Yeah!!!

Fabulous family gathering

We rented this VRBO as a place for our family of seven adults to stay and host another 20 extended family members for a family celebration. This place was absolutely perfect. The grounds are lovely and our dogs didn’t want to leave. The place was so clean and cozy - even decorated for the holidays! There is everything you could need for a peaceful, enjoyable get together. If we are ever in need of a larger group place to stay in Victoria we will absolutely stay here. A real find!

We stayed at the lake house over Christmas. Jonathon met us at the house when we checked in, gave us all the details we needed. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The log fire was a treat and kept the whole house cosy. The grounds are very well kept and a great place for our dog to run around. The walk along the lake trail was beautiful and so easy to access! We especially appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations, made it a perfect place to relax with our family over the holidays. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this VRBO, thanks so much 😊

Great spot for a corporate retreat!

We had an amazing time at Jonathan's property for our corporate retreat this year. Jonathan was very communicative, friendly and accommodating. The space was very clean and the kitchen was useful for preparing snacks and meals. The forest on the property is beautiful, and having the lake so close was a great feature. Lots of parking and outdoor space. It is a ways from downtown, so we had a designated driver for one of the nights. There are stores a short drive away to get groceries etc.

Amazing location in Victoria

What a great place to stay! Close to Butchart Gardens, downtown Victoria and ferries, yet it feels quiet and secluded. The lake was so fun to swim in and the property was beautiful. We even saw deer right in the yard. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything thing we needed. There was plenty of space for our family of 6. Jonathan was quick to respond to messages and had great recommendations. We loved our stay here and hope to visit again.

Beautiful Victoria stay

The property is beautiful with many areas for times of gathering or quiet spaces. The 6 miles trail around Elk lake is great. The deer visiting in the evening are a joy to watch.

Great summer retreat space

We had a wonderful time at this property. We spent most of our time outside in the great seating areas. All the rooms worked very well for the four of us. We cooked our meals and the kitchen had everything you could need. The host gave us a great tour around at the beginning. For those who like walking, the Elk/Beaver trail is just at the end of the property. We spent part of one day driving around the Peninsula visiting farm stands and markets. A great place for a get-away - thanks Jonathan!

Potential is there

After the Initial check in of the property(which is usually comfortable and easy), The owner insisted on meeting me at the property and showing me around. Even though it clearly states in the listing that no contact check-in, check out would happen. As a single lady with kids, it was a very unusual check in and made me feel really uncomfortable, especially when he blocked my path out of the kitchen. I was initially booked for 3 people(me and two kids) I ended up calling my sister to come stay with me for comfort and safety. There are no window coverings on of the bedrooms or bathrooms. There are several cameras throughout the property, 9 that we found, including sensors on all the doors. Some cameras facing inwards to the house and several facing an every angle of the property. Every move you make is accounted for and watched by the owner. No dishwashing soap, no laundry detergent, no garbage bags, dirty floors (we literally had to wash our feet twice the first day), musty smelling basement and bedding, crusty towels.Wifi was sufficient. Location of property was good, has lake access but is a pretty far walk through the wooded area and no beach unless you walk down the path to the Elk Lake park. Property definitely has potential, however it was not a comfortable experience for me. There was no welcome book or instructions on how to navigate the home.

Perfect for a family gathering!

We booked the place to host my mom's 95th birthday party with all her children and grand-children. It was perfect for this. On one day we hosted a little celebration with family and friends joining for a little while. It worked really well for this. There were lots of various spaces for people to gather in both inside and outside. It was a short walk to the beach with easy access to walking trails. A large yard for playing games in. We pretty well lived outside and there was lots of spaces to sit and gather and lots to do! We are thinking of making it an annual event!
