Located in the heart of Mount Buller village, Glacier Chalet is a warm and spacious alpine retreat just a short walk (approximately 450 metres) to the ski lifts.

Designed for families and group ski trips, the chalet comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests with generous living spaces and flexible sleeping arrangements.

After a day on the slopes, relax in the cosy living area by the fireplace, enjoy group meals around the large dining table, or unwind with movies on the 75” smart TV.

The Space

Glacier Chalet is designed to deliver the full Mount Buller alpine experience – comfortable, social and ideal for relaxing after skiing.

The open living and dining areas make it easy for everyone to gather together, whether for breakfast before hitting the slopes or a relaxed evening after a day on the mountain.

Guests particularly enjoy the warm fireplace lounge, fast Wi-Fi, large TV entertainment setup and spacious kitchen designed for group meals.

What we like: Near center, incl. Walkable to grocery store, stunning view where the property is located and along the way to the center, enough rooms to cater considerably big family. What we don't like: no wheelchair access, access to property from the street was rather a struggle, what up in the snow before reaching the stairs, utensils/appliances were not clean/ worn out (suggest to replace some of them), oven was not cleaned.

Our stay at this chalet was an absolute delight. We were 11 people, a mix of friends and family with two little ones and was spacious for all of us. Mike and Anna greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the chalet. They are both friendly and accommodating. They were also really good with communication and instructions prior to arrival. The place was neat and clean, the beds and pillows were comfy, the towels were hotel standard, the hot water and showers worked well with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided, the living/dining room had a good layout, the heaters worked well and kept us warm, the kitchen was well equipped for all meals, and to top it off, there was a jacuzzi! Wifi and foxtel were nice to have too. The location of the chalet is at a prime spot, about a 5-10min walk to the village. Undoubtedly the most luxurious and self-contained accommodation I've experienced on the mountain. I would highly recommend staying here!

Nice in the photo ad

We had fun staying especially our grandchildren. The only thing we noticed is that no one gives us a heads up that there’s a constructions pending in front of the chalet & we’re going to use a construction bridge to reached the front door. I thougt the driver dropped us off in a wrong chalet. So I asked surprisingly “Is this the Glacier Chalet”?its looks nice in the ad.Anyway,we arrived on time 3pm,but the cleaners are still inside cleaning. The Q bed matress was literally damp so my daughter in law asked one of the cleaner to change it. No facial tissue even 1 single box anywhere on the area so we used the extra toilet tissue instead.But over all the chalet is fine.I think over rated on my opinion.

I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered. We strive to provide clear communication regarding any external factors that might affect our guests' stay, and I regret that the construction in front of the chalet was not brought to your attention beforehand. However this will be concluded soon. I understand how this unexpected situation could cause confusion and impact your initial impression of the property. I’m also sorry to hear that the cleaners were still on-site when you arrived and that the mattress was damp. This certainly isn't the standard we aim for, and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention. I will address this with our cleaning team to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. Regarding the lack of facial tissues, I understand that this is a basic amenity, and I'm sorry it was overlooked. We'll make sure this is promptly addressed in our inventory for future guests. We value your feedback as it helps us improve, and I’m glad that despite these issues, you still found the chalet to be an overall fine experience. Outside of hosting, I’m passionate about travel and adventure. I’ve been scuba diving for over 35 years and am an enthusiastic skier, so I always enjoy sharing local tips and helping guests make the most of their trip.

Family is very important to me, and with four grown-up sons I understand how special time away together can be. Whether you're visiting for relaxation, skiing, or exploring the area, I hope your stay becomes a great memory.

Over the years our family has spent many winters here skiing, enjoying the mountain restaurants, and taking in the incredible alpine scenery. It has become a place full of great memories for us, and that is why we chose to invest here and create a home where others can experience the same magic.

Mount Buller offers something for everyone—from beginners taking their first lessons to experienced skiers exploring the mountain’s many runs. Off the slopes, the village has a relaxed alpine charm with cafés, restaurants, and beautiful winter views.

For us it has always been a place to slow down, enjoy the mountains, and spend quality time with family and friends—and we hope our guests experience that same feeling during their stay.

This chalet was our original Mount Buller family ski retreat and holds a special place for us. It was designed to be a warm, welcoming space where families and groups of friends can come together after a day on the mountain.

The fireplace adds a classic alpine feel, making the lounge especially cozy on snowy evenings. Many guests say their favourite moments are simply sitting by the fire after a day on the slopes.

The chalet is also well set up for modern travellers, with fast Wi-Fi and a large 75-inch smart TV, perfect for movie nights or watching sport after skiing.

The spacious kitchen makes catering for a group easy, and the layout works well for families or groups travelling together, allowing everyone to gather comfortably in one place.
