When the occasional maintenance issue arises we have representatives available to assist, as our gentleman did with a loose bolt on the stool.We try to prepare guests for the winding roads prior to their visit, with those details in the description. We realize not everyone has driven on mountain roads. They do take a little getting used to the first couple trips up and down.We look forward to your family returning for future adventures.

The small one is for quick sweeps around the fireplace. I am not sure what happened with the garbage bags... the cleaners usually leave 2-3 depending on the length of stay. We would have been happy to have more dropped off.We would love to have you return in the future."

This includes the listing with a description of the area (roads, altitude, staircase, and plenty of up-to-date photos, so guests know what to expect). We recognize the roads and stairs aren't for everyone. I am sorry you missed those details. We also over-communicate! In addition to the booking information, I send a direct welcome email/letter with additional details and again remind guests of the house layout, location, and notes on local wildlife, including bears. Bears are a part of our world, or should I say we are a part of their world. They are not aggressive unless threatened or confronted, but we need to know the "rules of the road" and how to live with them. Also, being in the mountains there are many bugs in addition to the wildlife. We have a local, skilled pest control company with regular service. They stay on top of the situation, as you were able to see. Some bugs, like ladybugs are protected, so you may see live bugs in the local homes. I am glad to hear you loved the home and that it worked for your vacation."

While we are located in a beautiful mountainous area, we understand that encountering wildlife can be unsettling, especially if you have pets. We also apologize for the presence of dead bugs upon your arrival and the sightings of live bugs during your stay. Our team works diligently to ensure that our properties are clean and pest-free.
