Amazing location. The whole downtown is walkable from the apartment. Perfect amount of space for two adults. Easy check-in and check out. We definitely will consider staying here again!

We loved the location of the place we rented for a few days in downtown Saugatuck. The room was tastefully decorated, was very clean and we had everything needed to enjoy the week. An unexpected “bonus” of the place was of a front window view of the Kalamazoo River with boats in the harbor! Sweet place to enjoy your breakfast. We enjoyed the shopping right in the neighborhood and there were plenty of great quality restaurants to go to as well. We would definitely stay here again!

The only improvement I would make to the check in process is to give clearer instructions on where the common door is located. It was unclear that it was on the side of the shop and you had to walk between two different buildings to locate it.

Wonderful and LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was in the heart of downtown so walking to everything was so easy. Even though it is on a main throughway we slept great and didn't hear much street noise.

Fall weekend trip

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the charming Unit. We used it as a base to visit many of the restaurants and wineries in the area and the trees were breathtaking!

Street parking was easy, as it was off season. I’m sure in the summer it would be more challenging. Although we managed the stairs, I can see where they may be difficult to those with physical limitations. I’m not sure the stairs were mentioned in listing. We lost power, but the Host was quick to respond and guided us through some troubleshooting.(a breaker was tripped and we were told where to look for it)The room was very clean and perfect size for what we needed.

Great Experience

Riverview was a great place to stay! The location was great and we could conveniently walk everywhere. Ethan had great recommendations for bars and restaurants. Our only issue was finding parking and that just shows how popular a vacation destination it is!

Saugatuck Get Away

We have been visiting Saugatuck for many years but decided to stay in town a couple of nights and relax. Location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything. Easy stroll to restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. Our unit was very clean and neat. The owner really did an excellent job of providing everything you need. Check in/check out instructions were well written and all went smoothly. Had a wonderful time.

Fire alarm in our bedroom ruined our first night’s stay completely. Property manager (Ethan) was very responsive and got us relocated to another apartment for second and third nights.We did not know from description that a very steep stairway was going to make access difficult for us.

Snarky Management

The place was clean. The location was good. And the quality of the unit was good. There is no mention of stairs in the listing, and the second emergency exit is a plummet from a second story window with no fire ladder. But the biggest thing missing was courtesy and kindness. I asked some questions the day before check in, and got snarky answers "The information is in the check-in text". When your guests run out of toilet paper you do not tell them to Google the dollar store. There is also no mention of how noisy it is due to the insufficient windows. So many little things missing, like a dish rack? Really? You can tell it is owned by a company and not by a family. All about profit., no feeling of personality. I also own a rental up north in a vacation place. It is our second home. We think of absolutely everything that a guest could want and we provide it. We want them to feel like for a short time, it is their second home. You do not get this with quaint cottages. I will never stay in one of your soulless properties again.

We unfortunately would not have Rick or his guests back. You will see Rick has a 3 star rating on VRBO which is not good and I do not believe there are any accommodations out there that would please Rick or his guests, unfortunately. We accommodated all Ricks requests even when they were outside what we advertise as offered and he still was not pleased. Quaint Cottages is proud to have an average 4.8 rating out of 2478 reviews on VRBO and we are a Premier Host. On air bnb we are a Super Host with an average rating of 4.82 with 2469 reviews. Our first trip to Saugatuck! We loved everything about the property…the location was the best! It seems like everything was just across the street from us: coffee shops, Chain Ferry, water views, ice cream shops and restaurants
