The Blue Emerald House is your home away from home. Boasting all of the amenities that you need for a comfortable & relaxing vacation. It's pet & family friendly for large groups so everyone can gather. You have the whole spacious place to yourself inside and outside. A treelined 2 acre lot gives you space. Don't want to drive minutes to world famous Lawrencetown Beach? That's okay, The Blue Emerald has a dock (only in summer) and a swimmable shore.
Very Beautiful - lots of space! Kitchen area had what we needed. Nice large fridge & dishwasher ! Check in was very easy. There were 8 of us! Enjoyed our stay !
We stayed with five people at the home and really enjoyed it. It was more than large enough for all of us. Itâs a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Everything was in great condition. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. We enjoyed the spacious gathering areas. We did a lot of star gazing in the evenings and bird watching in the mornings. One morning we even saw a seal. If we come to Halifax again weâd stay here again!
Beautiful cottage with lots of amenities- they even thought of bonfire blankets !! Communication was easy and we loved watching the local wildlife - a porcupine, rabbits, loons, the goose family, lots of birds and the highlight - otters! It was peaceful yet an easy distance to the beach and not far from Halifax and Dartmouth.
We had a fabulous stay in Lawrencetown at this gorgeous home!! I stayed with 2 brothers spouses (6 in total) for a family wedding. It was spectacular!! It is even better than the pictures. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, bed (3 K/Q & set of twins) are clean and comfy. The layout of the house allows for so much privacy. The grounds are picture perfect and pretty-esp our morning coffee in the kitchen lounge or on the deck! There was a provincial fire band so we were not allowed a campfire. The views are sensational-not to mention the sunrises and the sunsets! With such privacy from a few, far away neighbours sunrise/sets are very visible! The twisty turny roads are very scenic and the autumn colours are spectacular! Coming around the bend to see Lawrencetown beach (with Canadian SURFERS!!) is breathtaking! Any situations were handled instantly by the host. Thank you Stephen for a fabulous (first) trip to Nova Scotia!! We will definitely look at your home first when we return!!
My family and I had an incredible stay at this lakefront cottage. We were looking for a place out on the coast as a portion of our trip to Nova Scotia, and this gave us everything we were looking for. Quiet location amongst many outdoor spots to visit, beautiful NS views, with cute little coffee shops and stores nearby for added convenience.
The place itself was very clean, had great âadd onsâ like games and baby gates for my energetic nieces, and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine for the adults to kickstart our vacation.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The Blue Emerald was the perfect home base for a busy weekend in NS. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped including tons of fun games to play in the evenings spent at home. The house is in a great location to be able to drive easily around NS and enjoy the sites. Lawrenceton itself is a great little spot to enjoy long walks and watch the surfers from the beach.
Stephen was responsive and helpful, a wonderful host.
We would definitely visit again!
The house is really nice, kind of an interesting architectural twist with lots of angles and light. This is a lovely place to stay near the beach and about 40 min outside of Halifax. The owner communications were quick and attentive. The one negative for us was when the power went out several times the second night. Because the overhead light came on each time the power restarted we had a very interrupted night's sleep.
This property has plenty of space for everyone and everything you needed. Its a great place if you want to be close to the ocean and outdoors. They host was always easy to reach and the hoise was very clean. I loved the pillows in the master. I want some. We came in from the Yarmouth Ferry, so the ride was quite long. That was no fault of the house though, just bad planning on my part as i also didnt think about the time change. I really enjoyed the cider welcome gift.
The only think i didnt like was all the geese on the lawn, but not sure how you could fix that.
Great trip.
This was a beautiful property with lots of privacy and a gorgeous view of the lake with sunsets every evening. There was easy access to biking and hiking trails, and a short drive to Halifax, or grocery stores when you needed. The kitchen was very well outfitted for people who are cooks and everything was high-quality and well thought through. My only regret was that I did not bring my own bicycle. There are bicycles available however, they are not suited to a tall adult or probably adults in general. The Atlantic bicycle trail is a central activity to this area so if youâre a bicycler, you will probably want to use it. I would highly recommend vacationing here and the house shows up to be as beautiful as it looks in the pictures.
The Blue Emerald is a gem of a property. Located on shy of 2 acres of land with 3,300 sq ft. over 3 floors (including a finished walkout basement).
This has been decorated to be a home away from home. With all of the comforts and feelings of feeling right at home so you can truly relax on vacation.
There was two reasons why I fell in love with this home. First, was because of the two-story window in the sitting room looking out at the lake. Secondly, the sunsets are just incredible.
