Stunning location with only a 20 m drive to the Whakapapa Ski Fields & Sky Whaka. Hiking and mountain biking at your fingertips and all your adventure needs. Located at 41 Kirk St it's an easy walk to nearby pubs, restaurants and cafes.
This was our third year returning to Trudyâs place and it was throughly enjoyed as usual. Very cute and cosy place with everything you need. Has had multiple upgrades since our first year which is great to see as well.
Prime location and at a good price for a weekend away. Only get told to bring own sheets and towels after booking is confirmed so would be nice to know that before hand, although wasnât an issue to pack extra things.
This tidy house with good-sized bedrooms in a quiet location was the perfect place to stay while we waited out some bad weather. The TV picture/reception wasn't the best but there was a great selection of games and puzzles to keep us entertained.
We loved our stay here! We booked a trip for one of the busier weekends of snowboarding in spring and were able to book on very short notice. The place is tidy and super cozy. The only thing that would take it up a notch is if there was wifi, chewed through my data watching movies with the fire on. The pictures do not do this place justice, will define be staying here again next snow season!
Cosy cottage nice and warm with panel heaters in each room. Plenty of wood and good area for drying wet ski gear. Water is on gas so plenty for hot showers after cold days skiing!!
A great place to stay at National Park. Roomy. Easily heated with excellent fire etc and cut wood on hand. Easy parking on site. Excellent kitchen and very roomy and comfortable lounge/dining. And all this despite minus 2 plus frosts! Would certainly stay there again.
Great location. Very comfy home. Had everything we needed. Was very cold when we arrived, so pleased to have plenty of heat & it didnât take long to warm the place up. Recently lovely refurbished kitchen which is well stocked with ample cutlery, glasses, crockery, pans etc.
We had to inquire with the owner about the lodge as no information about check-in was provided in advance.
However, when I inquired with the owner, she informed me immediately.
The bed sheets were not set and we had to make the beds ourselves.
We had to wash the sheets and towels ourselves and check out, which I would only recommend to those who have enough time.
Because of the many rules, I thought it would be a problem for people staying there if they were not posted on the website.
Charming chalet with all amenities
Lovely stay we will come back with family
Only problem was communication with owner
Unable to answer her mail was frustrating
We LOVED our atay at Cosy Chalet. Loved the open plan area, kitchen island and can't beat a lovely hot fire for the added ambience.
There was no fighting over bedrooms as all boast a double bed and similar in size. Seperate loo amd entry space handy.
Everything we needed, super comfortable, lots of heat avaioable and a nice quiet street. Comms with the host a breeze, she wss lovely.
I would thoroighly recommend. We all hope to come stay again.
Property good. However expectation that you need to take all refuse with was you not communicated beforehand. Also that there is no wifi available. Maybe an expedia problem.
The property is good. Big rooms, very well organised kitchen. Heat pump, wall heaters and wood burner keep you in warm in a cold weather.
Property location is perfect. It situated on a quiet street just a few minutes from Four Square store and 15 minutes drive to Whakapapa Village.
Please note there are no linen provided (it was not mentioned in the property description) so, you need to bring your own. Also, the property doesn't have WiFi. Don't forget to bring a big plastic bag with you as the owner requested to remove all rubbish.
The house itself, the beds and shower were all fine and it is lovely and warm. Our issue was the underwear hanging up, crackers on the floor and no toilet paper, soap or bin liners we had to go and buy ourselves. Also I overlooked there was no wifi and there was no tv as the remote was lost. N
