Stayed here for a weekend trip to the mountain. Well equipped house with fireplace, basic kitchen necessities, decent sized rooms and a drying room! Also the location is great, easy to get to the nearby gear hire place and a short drive to the mountain. Great for us overall!
We have enjoyed our stay at the premises. It was so cosy, a very warm house during our winter stay. The host are very kind and very helpful. We definitely will return back there inthe future. Thanks very much Dave and Dale.
They place was wonderfully comfortable. All the bed were very comfy, all with electric blankets. The place was warm with the fire. It had everything we needed and we very much enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay there again. The drying room was particularly welcome after the rainy hike we had on our first day.
This was the perfect place to be based for any activity around National Park. Accommodated our 3 families easily.
Loved the kitchen, fireplace and lounge area for chilling out and laughing. Gas water shower bonus after the Tongariro crossing. Would stay again.
A classic type Bach with an addition of a new bathroom and gas hot water. Lots of firewood and nice to have a drying room available too. Hosts were very nice and helpful, especially when I had lots of issues with the VRBO app. Great location.
Very clean and warm house with comfortable beds and everything we needed. Kids loved the bunkers and the cute glass roof with a great view of the moon. Bathroom was great with wonderful shower. Great location too.
We arrived on Saturday and drove up the mountain with the kids and then hired some gear from Ski Biz before heading up again on a Sunday, we got so snow up the top and no one was injured. Teenagers and 10yr olds all had lessons which they thoroughly enjoyed, this house has a fire which we absolutely loved and it's such a chill relaxed place to stay - we loved it!!
What was great:
Comms with the owner; cute kiwi old school cottage with a lovely view of Ruapehu, the new bathroom & 2 loos made all the difference, great shower pressure, everything we needed, clean & tidy.
What could improve:
Replace the broken outdoor chair on the verandah.
Thanks for a super stay :)
Fantastic house for skiing, was easily able to accommodate myself and my friends and was a great location with good facilities that was close to the mountain
This is a quirky little cottage in National Park. A short drive to all the beauties of Tongariro. Two toilets and a fantastic shower made a large group stay easier. Owners easy to talk too and very accommodating. Thanks Dale we enjoyed our stay.
