Perfect for guests seeking both comfort and style, it offers two beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, ensuring privacy and convenience for up to four guests. Nestled behind another property, Sunshine Cottage is accessed via a private pathway and entrance, with on-street parking available. The light-filled interior is both inviting and relaxed, with sliding doors on either side of the spacious living area to let in a gentle breeze. Air conditioning in the living area and bedrooms ensures a comfortable stay, no matter the season. The chef’s kitchen is a cook’s dream, featuring modern appliances, ample crockery, glassware, and serving platters. Coffee enthusiasts will love the selection of brewing options: a moka pot, plunger, and Sunbeam espresso machine, perfect for enjoying everything from a cosy morning brew to a decadent evening espresso martini.

Step outside to the covered deck, where you can unwind in style. Tucked away on a quiet block, the property offers complete privacy throughout your stay. Set back from the street, you’ll enjoy your own fully fenced, private yard with no shared outdoor spaces, making it ideal for relaxing, entertaining, or letting children and pets play safely. The thoughtful layout ensures a peaceful and secluded retreat.

Sunshine Cottage is located on a battle-axe block, with its own private entrance.

There is only on street parking available.

Pets are welcome at this property. There is a AUD 100 surcharge to have your pet stay. This surcharge may vary depending on the length of the stay. Please declare at the time of booking and refer to the terms and conditions regarding pets.

If you bring a pet, a surcharge will be added after the booking is placed.

Property is fully fenced.

WiFi is offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with Asap but cannot be guaranteed.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and the neighbours, we do NOT accept bookings for “Schoolies” breaks/groups and under no circumstances do we allow weddings or parties of any sort.

Privacy: This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.
Terms and Conditions: Detailed T&Cs apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you. Please share the T&Cs with your other guests.

Check-in and -out Times: During the busy months of December and January, the check-in time is 4 pm to facilitate peak back-to-back changeovers. Our standard check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 10 am. We offer a complimentary early check-in or late check-out time as a gesture of goodwill where booking and housekeeping schedules allow. Note that due to demand and housekeeping pressures, no early check-ins or late check-outs will be granted during the months of December and January. The safest way to secure an early check-in or later check-out is to book the property for an extra night. Contact us for a special rate for this extra night. All Sunday late check outs must be requested and approved prior to 5 pm on the Friday evening prior. All complimentary early check-ins or late check-outs must be confirmed in writing so that our housekeeping team are informed accordingly.

Guest Registration: Guest registration is mandatory for all bookings and replaces the need for a cash bond for short term bookings (up to 20 nights). It is essential for fraud prevention, damage claims, safety, and emergency purposes. The process varies depending on the online travel agent used. Direct bookings require the booker to upload a copy of their driver’s licence and credit card through our encrypted online process.

Additional Guests: The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.

No Extras: This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.

EV Charging: For safety reasons and to comply with insurance requirements, guests are prohibited from charging electric vehicles at any property that does not have a dedicated EV charging station. Charging electric vehicles without proper infrastructure poses a fire hazard, and in the unfortunate event of an incident, insurance cover may be compromised, and the guest held liable. If in doubt, ask our team for the closest EV charging station.

Long Stay Discounts: Out of peak season stays of a week or more may qualify for a discount, please send us a message.

Property Information: Information during your stay can be found in the Guest Information Folder or by calling our office 24/7.

Security Deposit: For most bookings, completion of our registration process and a valid credit card with a $1000 available limit is sufficient for the security deposit. For medium-term bookings (21-40 nights) and long-term bookings (41-90 nights), a non-negotiable cash security deposit is required. This deposit, held in our Trust Account, is refunded after the departure inspection, with any damage or loss deducted. The minimum cash deposit is $2000, with higher amounts for larger or more expensive properties, or at the owner’s/agent’s discretion.

Peace of Mind: For your added security, this property is managed by a Licensed Real Estate Agent. We will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held safely in our Trust Account until after your departure.

Just what we needed

I wish we could have stayed longer. A wonderful break so close to the beach. Clean, bright and airy home with everything you could possibly need at hand. Booking agents were great. Feels like we have been away for a week instead of a weekend. Highly recommended. Hope to be back again in the near future.

Xmas at Culburra

It was disappointing that the garden was overgrown and the lawn needed mowing. One of the bedroom doors had a damaged latch and couldn’t be closed. The vacuum cleaner was very ineffective and there was no broom. The gas ran out after a day, but, luckily, we worked out how to switch the bottles. We were advised we couldn’t check in before 4, although, this was revised to 3.30 on enquiry. This is later than we would have preferred.

If these had been advised to us during your stay we would have sent out the appropriate team members to and would have had them rectified and fixed. We always strive to provide a 2pm check in for our guests, however in peak holiday season with so many back to back bookings it isnt always possible. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.

Cottage is clean and tidy , well maintained. There is no privacy and excessive construction.

While the cottage is clean and tidy and well maintained, the information regarding the construction was far from accurate. Tradesman everywhere including pressure washing the roof of the adjacent property at 7.30am. Tradesman had to enter the yard twice, the noise was excessive. The is no privacy. Spoke to property manager who said they would investigate and resolve within 48 hours- that was over a week ago and follow up emails have not been answered. Website said construction was mostly midweek but started at 7am Monday morning and continued. Parking is on the street but we had to park two houses away initially due to others parked out front. Also lack of room in wardrobes, we couldn't unpack our suitcases. Otherwise this was a pleasant stay but the construction ruined it.

It may be worth checking your spam or junk mail settings as we had reached out to you following our initial communications to give you an update on what we’d done and offering you a $150 voucher as a gesture of goodwill. Please rest assured the construction has now finished next door to Sunshine Cottage and we’ve since updated the listing to reflect this as we promised we would. We do try to remain as transparent as possible about anything that might interrupt the quiet enjoyment of our guests holiday which is why we made sure our listing highlighted the next-door construction from the onset so anyone placing a booking like yourself over that period was given prior warning there would likely be some disruption. On the basis it seems you missed this information in our property description, our listings team are going to re-visit how we communicate information like this as it seems we need to find a better way of ensuring vital information like this is not overlooked by guests in future. We’d like to thank you for your invaluable feedback about the wardrobe space. Since reporting the issue I’m delighted to advise we’ve added a clothes rack with hangers (photo attached to your latest email) providing more room for guests to unpack their clothes and belongings.
