I booked this cottage for myself and my kids, aged 4 to 17. We all had an amazing time. It more than exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed for our stay.
We loved the place! It was well kept, clean and perfect for our large family. Plenty of room and things to do. Well stocked kitchen, towels, and blankets. Owner was great too! Definitely would recommend and stay again!
Our family of 5 adults stayed here. We had a blast and made lots of memories. The 4 out of 5 stars is because the water isn't potable. We never ran out of hot water though. We roasted marshmallows for smores over the firepit. My two older adult children went fishing in the paddle boat. There was a canoe but we didn't use it. There are 3 adult kayaks, 2 children kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, and lots of little islands to explore in the bay. The first 10 feet of the lake is sandy and then the lake bottom becomes healthy and mucky so there's lots of fish. The dock is in the sun all day and sunsets are well enjoyed. We saw a great blue heron, a loon family, and even an arctic tern. The deck overlooking the lake is relaxing. The large BBQ works really well. Lots of chairs and tables to enjoy whatever. There is even a small fenced area. The front porch overhang even allows you to sit in muskoka chairs when its raining or want some shade. The large livingroom TV has netflicks to use your own account and we had no internet connection or reception problems. The beds are varying in firmness, but we found everything to be clean and comfortable. The kitchen table is large enough to play games on, do puzzles on, and eat together. Definitely a fun vacation for our family.
Lake was interesting and spot on lake called deadmanâs drop was very nice spot to spend the day. Cottage was rustic but well stocked. Property was not cut or trimmed prior to arrival but they did eventually get someone in. Dock was ok but not deep at end and you could not really jump in off dock due to shallow very mucky bottom. Dock was not wide enough to facilitate more than two people at a time. Cottage was roomy and three bedrooms good size. Basement was very musty but nice pinto g table and Fuzeball table. Beach was nice but only about 8 feet out till you hit muck at about your knees. Beach also had a fair amount of grass grown in. Kyacks were excellent quality but canoe was old and broken at stern. Overall a decent cottage but value at price charged was not what I was use to having tented 4 to 5 times a year over past 5 yard. Owner was friendly and responsive bunkie was unusable and a bit of eyesore but was not featured in listing, just shown.
