Cute, clean house in quiet, established neighborhood

The house was just as pictured. Very clean, in a quiet area, close to all the things we needed. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice having a washer and dryer. The kitchen has most of the basics. We were very happy with our stay.

Adorable place for a sisters' retreat.

This gem has two huge bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed. My sister and I have come here twice now to do crafts over spring break, dine out, shop, etc. It's a great location in a sedate neighborhood with mature trees. We love it!

Outside appearance

From the mail box the weeds and poison oak in the rough yard then the awning!!! All turned my stomach before I got inside. Remodel was nice but no tv in bedroom. Floors cracked and popped. No water pressure in the bathroom sink. I would rather stayed in hotel. The smell of the house was the smell of old house with age, I have asthma and it was hard for me to breathe. We wanted to go outside on the deck but the yard had not been cut. We can home one day early. Would not rent this place again.

Fantastic and Easy

We were in town for the week for a National Basketball tournament and this place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the bright and airy space with plenty of space for two adults and two teenage boys. Location was great for our needs and the Simple pizza joint down the street was so good!

Cute house in nice neighborhood

Very pleased with the accommodations. Basement was a nice piece of mind in case of severe weather. Charming older house, no bathroom fan but the dogwoods were in bloom:)

Quiet neighborhood retreat

Overall, our stay was pleasant. This was our 2nd stay at this particular property. We had a couple more issues this time than last. The place wasn't quite as clean this time as it was last time and one of the lamps in the living room was not working. I would still stay at this place again, however. It is convenient for our needs and quiet enough to feel like a retreat.

Great Getaway

This house is conveniently located near the aquarium and downtown Springfield (with multiple breweries and great restaurants). The house looked exactly like the pictures and was super cute with lots of old house charm. There are several parks and schools within the neighborhood which is an eclectic mix of houses. We didn’t have any issues during our stay and enjoyed being able to come “home” at the end of the day. Would stay again.

Nice size with lots of charm

The size of the house was perfect for our family of 4. The house was adorable. The neighborhood was quiet and the house sits off the road so that was nice. The driveway was a bit tricky to get in and out of because its a bit narrow, but manageable for experienced drivers. It was too chilly to explore the outside space and the sun porch but i would definitely stay here again.

Adorable Bungalow

We rented this little cutie to have a very small family gathering as my brothe lives in the area. I have stayed at a ton of VRBOs and this one had the best bed and linens that I have experienced. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment as I made a fairly sizeable meal here and didn't have too worry too much about having the right tools. The house has beautiful original hardware on the doors which was lovely. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

End of Summer Vacation

The home was centrally located for everything we planned to do, which made it convenient to come back to eat and let the kids rest/nap. Loved the old home charm. Perfect size for a family of 4, but could easily accommodate more. The kitchen was stocked with cookwear, but we would have liked to have a grill available. Would definitely come back and will recommend to others!

Cute and Quiet

My husband, mother-in-law, nephew and myself stayed here to visit with family that lives in Springfield. We had the benefit of knowing all the good things to do because of them. This house is in a cute, quiet neighborhood in the older part of the city. Take a drive around and enjoy all of the cute houses! House has everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom and kids loved playing in the backyard because of all the bunnies and squirrels running around. A huge owl lives in the neighborhood trees. Take a sit on the front porch or patio at dusk and enjoy the fireflys buzzing around. The surrounding area felt safe to us. Lots of options of dining and entertainment.

Cozy home away from home

We stayed in many VRBO homes and this was one of our favorite ones. The house is super cozy. The beds are incredibly comfortable with super soft linens and wonderful pillows. It was so thoughtful to have soap, oils, herbs, salt, etc. in the house, including delicious coffee.We even had a bottle of white wine waiting for us. So sweet. The house was super clean. We loved the sunroom in the morning and the yard was stunning too. Everything looked so new. We loved the house and hope to return next time we are in Springfield. Thank you.

It was wonderful, we had a small issue with the smoke alarm and they came right out and changed the batteries. we needed some salt on the icy sidewalk, and maybe some sugar for the coffee. :) otherwise it was all good!!

Trash

Please someone pay the garbage trash bill. Tuesday at 4pm arrived at the property. Trash can at end of driveway to greet me overflowing and bags and bags of trash on the ground. Wednesday - still there to greet me throughout the day. Thursday - check-out at 10am. Trash still there when leaving.

Extra Days Trip to Get College Son

Chose home option for extra days trip to get/bring college student home for summer. Wanted extra space & kitchen to cook meals. Comfortable stay in a decent neighborhood close to many things. We shopped, did some tourism, & found/used YMCA. Kitchen enough for cooking but could stand better knives so not hack sawing veggies. Would have loved an outdoor grill (I’ve had at other VRBOs). Listing says can park in garage but that’s not correct. Mattress more comfortable than could hope for. Always thankful for laundry in rental. House has old charm/character. Decorated with aesthetically pleasing colors. Overall, I would stay again & recommend.

it really is idyllic!

this house as most reviews noted was really fantastic. rather than just saying great I'll note a few specifics. Great communication, special thanks w our on site contact. Cleanliness was great. The house has a comfy cottage look but looks very much professionally designed. No details forgotten on all basics. plenty of closet storage. the bath is small. I would say a few more towel hooks if 4 people stay but there were just 2 of us. I would say since it is a one bath and upgrade to the toilet would be worthwhile . it was functional but not a high power flush if many people share . we cooked many meals and kitchen was fine w variety of cookware and bowls. Table cloth provided. USB outlets bedside in one room. lots of good lighting w lamps . Street has a few really nice cared for homes and a few sorta neglected . the hedge in front is very nice and large lot feels very quiet and private. look to listing for current or change but this was our experience in Aug 24

Lovely home. Two issues.

The home was generally lovely. The usual issues with old mattresses and dull kitchen knives were there but that’s pretty par for the course on VRBOs. Overall it has a nice setup and was clean and appointed. The neighborhood is terrific.Two issues. Check in and fireplace.We were supposed to get an email before check-in. The email was sent from a random address. It was not the address that we thought we would get it from. We searched and searched and could not find it. This is an evolve managed property, so we had to go through multiple layers of humans to find it. You have VRBO, then evolve, then a local host, then a delegate of the local host. It wouldn’t have been a big deal except that we had to wait a couple hours to get into the property when we expected to be in there.. this is after a 12 Hour drive from Texas. Made for a stressful start.The second issue was the fireplace. And normally we wouldn’t care too much about this except that it was advertise as an amenity, and we selected the place in part because of the fireplace. We stayed over Christmas and we’re looking forward to the nice fire. It’s a small thing, but it was a part of the reason we chose the property. Now it’s one thing if it’s broken temporarily.this advertised amenity we found out halfway through our stay was not even hooked up. I think that’s kind of sorry.I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this property, but I would ask them to remove the fireplace as an amenity and I would get the code early.
