WHERE THE ROAD ENDS, THE ESCAPE BEGINS
Perched above Raven Lake at the end of a private forest road and surrounded by Crown Land, Eagle's Nest is a four-season waterfront retreat with expansive lake views that change beautifully from morning mist to starlit evenings.
Whether you're looking for a summer lake escape, an autumn retreat, a winter getaway, or simply to disconnect, connect with yourself at Eagle's Nest and experience them all.
Here, there's room to be together — and plenty of room to disappear.
FOREST ROAD
The journey to Eagle’s Nest is part of the experience. Approximately 2 km of private forest road takes you away from the outside world, with every curve and hill bringing you deeper into the forest.
COTTAGE
Perched above Raven Lake, Eagle’s Nest was designed to make the most of its elevated setting while combining the character of a nature getaway with the comforts of home.
Three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms accommodate up to six guests, while the open living spaces make it easy to spend time together — or find a quiet corner of your own.
Large windows and multiple outdoor spaces keep the lake and surrounding forest close throughout the day.
But the real living room may be the outdoors...
LIFE BY THE LAKE
Raven Lake is where summer days naturally unfold.
Swim, paddle, fish, explore the shoreline in one of our two canoes or simply find a comfortable spot on the deck and watch the day go by.
With multiple outdoor spaces to choose from, you can follow the sun — or the shade — throughout the day.
As evening arrives, gather around the fire, pour a drink and watch the lake settle as the night approaches.
Then look up.
Away from the lights and bustle of city life, the night sky shimmers with countless stars. Try to count them all.
A COTTAGE FOR EVERY KIND OF DAY
A great escape shouldn’t depend on perfect weather.
When you’re ready to come inside, there’s plenty to settle into. Challenge someone to a game of billiards, pull out a board game, curl up with a book or stretch out on the oversized sofa and simply enjoy the view.
And when the day winds down, the hot tub and sauna are waiting—whether you’ve spent the day on the lake, exploring the forest or simply enjoying a slower pace.
With plenty of space to relax and good options for both quiet moments and time together, a rainy day here can feel every bit as enjoyable as a sunny one.
With reliable high-speed Starlink internet, you can stay connected when you need to. Disconnect when you don't. The emails can wait.
FOUR SEASONS
Eagle’s Nest changes with the seasons, and each one brings its own reason to come.
SUMMER
Summer is made for long days on the water—swimming, paddling, fishing, exploring the shoreline or simply settling into the deck with a view of the lake.
AUTUMN
Autumn brings a different kind of magic.
Crisp mornings, mist rising from Raven Lake and the surrounding forest turning into a palette of reds, golds and deep greens make this one of the most beautiful times of year to visit. Spend the day exploring, return to the warmth of the sauna or hot tub, then watch the cottage and lakefront glow as evening settles in
WINTER
Winter transforms the lake and forest into a different kind of escape. Depending on conditions, enjoy ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling or skating, then come back to the warmth of the cottage, sauna or hot tub.
Spring brings the forest back to life, with quieter days, fresh air and a chance to enjoy the lake and surrounding wilderness before the summer season begins.
Whatever time of year you visit, the setting gives you plenty of reasons to spend time outside—or simply stay in and enjoy being away.
A whole-home backup generator provides additional peace of mind during unexpected power interruptions
CLOSE ENOUGH TO EXPLORE. FAR ENOUGH TO ESCAPE
Eagle's Nest feels wonderfully remote, but you're not completely off the map.
The village of Dorset is approximately 15–20 minutes away, with groceries, restaurants, coffee, supplies and other essentials.
The surrounding Highlands offer plenty to explore, including hiking trails, golf, scenic lookouts and year-round outdoor activities. Algonquin Provincial Park is also within 30 minutes driving distance and offers endless trails, portaging and glimpses of wildlife such as moose, bears, foxes and wolves.
You can spend the entire weekend at the cottage without going anywhere — or use Eagle's Nest as your base for exploring the area.
The choice is yours.
WE WANT YOU TO LOVE YOUR TIME HERE
We care about the little things—from clear communication before arrival to being available if you need us during your stay. Our goal is simple: make your time at Eagle's Nest easy, comfortable and memorable.
Leave the busy roads behind, follow the forest in and let Raven Lake set the pace to make the kind of memories that have you thinking about your next visit before you've even left.
Welcome to Eagle's Nest!
LAKESIDE COMMUNITY
Eagle's Nest is part of a small, welcoming lakeside community of approximately a dozen cottages scattered around an insulated bay.
Many of the families reside elsewhere, so the bay can often be wonderfully quiet. At other times, you may hear the natural sounds of a small lake community as neighbours and families enjoy their cottages and the water.
ACCESS
Remote entry codes give you private access to the cottage, waterfront and amenities during your stay.
NEIGHBOUR ACCESS
An established lakefront pathway may occasionally be used by a neighbour to access their property.
We are actively working to establish an alternative route so that neighbour access is as unobtrusive as possible and the privacy and enjoyment of our guests are preserved.
BEFORE BOOKING
PRIVATE FOREST ROAD
The cottage is approximately 2 km along a private forest road with curves and hills. The road is maintained throughout the year. The recommended speed is 20 km/h.
WINTER TRAVEL
Winter snowfall can be significant. The private road is plowed, sanded and maintained year-round, but conditions can change quickly. During winter months, a 4x4/AWD vehicle equipped with proper winter tires is strongly recommended. Please check the forecast and road conditions before travelling.
QUIET HOURS
To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of Raven Lake, quiet hours begin at 11:00 p.m. We ask all guests to be considerate of neighbouring cottages.
GUESTS
Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless approved in advance.
PETS
Pets are welcome with prior approval.
SMOKING & VAPING
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the cottage. Please use the designated outdoor areas and dispose of cigarette butts in the pails provided.
GARBAGE & RECYCLING
Due to the remote location, there is no municipal curbside garbage or recycling collection. Guests are asked to keep recycling and refuse separated during their stay so we can meet local disposal and recycling requirements. Any applicable disposal fees are the responsibility of the guest
