Luxury NEW in-law Suite with separate entrance (Sleeps 3)
An elegantly furnished new two-levels 1 bedroom W/ bathroom inside of luxury semi-detached home. Ground floor and basement spacious & bright in-law suite for single and/ or couples. Location near the airport (7 minutes) makes it a very easy drive. Separate entrance, Wi-Fi, Netflix included, free parking on-Site. New Kitchen appliances, pots, plates and cutlery, island table and 2 chairs, TV, work desk, new washer and dryer, microwave & coffee marker. Outdoor space, patio chair and lawn. Located within minutes of amenities such as malls (Square one & Sherway gardens), grocery stores and pharmacies, parks, restaurants, gas stations, public transport and highway 401.
This Air B & B is among my favourites. The main floor is the bedroom and bathroom. Downstairs is a huge private living space including a living room and a full kitchen (regular sized fridge and stove). Plus laundry facilities next to the kitchen. All these amenities are enclosed in your private space. This is an ideal space with close proximity to the TO Pearson Airport, but some distance from downtown Toronto. Fresh, clean and highly recommended.
Nothing "luxury" here but a good value. Clean and efficient. The room did get hot one night and the couch is in really bad condition but we felt it was a good value for what we paid. Hosts only communicated via text but we appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. With traffic, it would take an hour to get to places in Toronto.
I extended my stay by one day and provided my feedback in that review. It had an overall positive experience at this location. Really enjoyed have this place so close to all the sights during my visit to Toronto. The check in process was a bit challenging, but after that everything was very convenient.
This was absolutely perfect! A cozy place, with a great size living area. The pics donât do it justice. Easy to get to GO train to go anywhere, close proximity to grocery stores and not difficult to find from highway. đŻ would recommend!
This unit was very conveniently located for getting to the suburbs or downtown. The parking in front of the building was convenient. The unit had a small bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a fairly spacious living room and kitchen downstairs. There were a couple of kitchen related repairs that were needed. Communication with the owner had some gaps, but the owner was helpful and courteous when we did communicate. Overall great spot for visiting Toronto.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Inaccurate listing
This little unit was clean and appeared to be in a good neighborhood. However, the listing is inaccurate. It claims one queen size bed and one double bed couch. What it really is is one double bed and a couch that does not make into any sort of a bed at all. Communication was frustrating because the property manager/owner did not respond to a couple of messages asking about how we check in. Parking was confusing and limited. There was no booklet or notebook with any hints about the checkout process. The owner sent me the instructions right before it was checkout time, and we were already gone.
Cleanliness of Property
The property is clean for the most part. Scheduled maintenance definitely occurs. There are scuffs on the walls that detract from the general appearance but I do not factor those into the cleanliness as much.
Check-In Process
I received communication from the property manager the day before arriving. While finding the property was a little confusing due to the instructions, there were no huge delays.
Accuracy of Online Listing
I would hesitate to call the property "luxury". The pictures of the property did not portray the relatively worn state of the couch, and having a bedroom that is in the first accessible room of the house was disconcerting. The inability to control the temperature also led to some uncomfortable nights - every night was so hot that we would often wake up in a mild sweat. There was also a bad odor that came through the vents every night and was most prevalent in the bedroom.
Communication with Property Manager
I did not enjoy communicating with this property manager. While I appreciate directness, I often felt there was an abruptness and rudeness to his communication I did not appreciate. I did feel there were some statements I would have wanted clarification; when I asked, I would often receive responses that did nothing to clarify the issue. This lead to my receiving a parking citation for overnight parking on the street. I will say the property manager was very prompt.
Parking is non-existent unless you want to park in the fire route, or visitor parking (full all the time), or in the street (you will get a parking ticket). I parked in the host driveway in the end but no guarantee it will be available for you.
The toilet was blocked when we arrived. The host suggested we blocked it by flushing "something unusual". We tried to unblock without success. Nobody came for over 1/2 hour although the host said he would send someone. To make matter worse, the unit is dirty, with hairs on the curtains, ripped sofa, dirty floor around the fridge, and marks on the wall. With no toilet, after a long drive, and needing to rest, we opted to go to a hotel. That added to the cost. Be smart and don't reserve there. You have been warned. The host will reply with seemingly reasonable explanations. Don't be fooled like I was. Good luck!
