We stayed here for only one night. The place was clean and close to stores and restaurants. We did not plan on using the yard or pool but it wasn't a good site to look at since the pool was dirty and not usable if we wanted to. There was a hose filling the pool that we could have easily tripped over. The noise level from upstairs was loud. We could hear people walking, showering and opening and closing the sliding door on their deck. We dont want to sound negative but we at the least expected less noise. It's a fine place if you dont mind any of that or if you are barely there at all.
Thank you, Jennifer, for your honest review. To clarify the issues you mentioned, first, the pool was leaking, and we stopped adding chemicals because it was a waste. We fixed it right away, and the hose was to fill it up again. It's crystal clear now (sorry that happened on the day you were our guest).
Also, sorry for the noise. I guess it's always expected to get some noise when you rent a basement, but we will try to make it lower as much as we can.
Thank you again
The place was freezing cold, the breaker for the microwave kept blowing, the people who lived upstairs were incredibly noisy early in the morning and through the day.
the apartment was spacious and clean would have like more than one coffee pod as we were 2 fpr 2 days the bathroom door would not stay shut properly other thanthat it was great we would stay again
Host had excellent communication, apartment was clean and nicely appointed, though a little well worn in spots. Beautiful yard and pool. It's a beautiful quiet neighborhood, but not very central to the typical toursity things, so prepare for uber rides. My only wish would have been an actual drip coffee maker and nicer weather to have enjoyed the pool!
Nice location, quaint apartment, bed was comfortable, my only issue was when I went to use the microwave. It blew a fuse and could not use anything in the apartment. I only had one space heater running, so couldnât figure out what caused it. I messaged the owner that morning about this and still have not heard back after several days.
Hello Jason, thank you for your nice words about my place, and for about the issue you had with fuse; you texted me at 5am in the morning before you leave to the airport and I saw the msg at 8am, so what the point of me replying to your message and show you how to fix the fuse! You didn't mention that I have replied and answered all your other msgs throughout your stay!
This was a well organized and comfortable place to stay. Host assured everything was meant to be above standard and it clearly shows. She is very accommodating with speedy response times. I will be coming back to stay at this unit again!
This little spot is pretty centrally located between Toronto and Niagara. That said it can be a commute to get anywhere, but absolutely no worse than back home on the US west coast! As you pull into the neighborhood, you are greeted with some of the most charming, and architecturally pleasing to the eye, homes. The living quarters themselves were perfect for my husband and me. They were clean, well modernized and fairly peaceful. (There is a family living upstairs and of course you can hear them from time to time, but everybody goes to sleep.) ;-)I canât talk on the pool because it was still winterized, but we didnât mind at all. The small thicket out back was neat to have, to sit and watch the small bit of Mother Nature while drinking coffee. Our hostess was very sweet. My husband thought he had left the house key in our rental car and she told us not to worry and found him a spare. He found it so we could give both back. Thank you to our wonderful host family. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us and it was definitely well worth it!Oh and Google âGladiator Burgers and Steakâ. That place was de-lush!! Their poutineâŠchefâs kiss!
