A unique quaint property just out of Taree

This historical cottage is an original wood slab Post Office consisting of a queen size bedroom, loungeroom, well equipped kitchen, sitting nook, bathroom & laundry facilities. verandah, off-street parking.
A full self cooking breakfast is provided.
Pets are welcome.

The cottage is surrounded by trees with 2 acres of land to walk your pets.
Privately self contained but with someone available if necessary.

Very convenient to a major highway so therefore ideal for rest breaks along the Eastern Highway.

The cottage consists of a bedroom with a queen size bed plus an additional single bed that can be made up on request for an additional $40 which includes laundering and breakfast, a loungeroom, sitting nook, well equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.
There are 2 acres where pets can be walked but will require being on a lead due to only a 5 strand cattle boundary fence. Pets allowed inside.
The first 2 pets are included in the price, $10 for each additional pet đŸ¶
The cottage shares land with the historical Ghinni Ghinni school building which is no longer in use

It is very comfortable and homely and very well set up. It was great for the dogs and for the humans. The supplies for breakfast were generous fresh and tasty. We loved the little touches such as fresh flowers and snacks.

Perfect little cottage for our little dogs and us

We stayed overnight on our way up the north coast. The cottage was made up so welcoming for us and our little dogs, with a lovely self cook breakfast hamper and a great space for the doggies to explore around the cottage the next morning.

A wonderful property packed with many inclusions. We and our dog loved it. We highly recommend dinner - very yummy and generous Only drawback is the closeness to highway noise.

Old Post Office B&B

Lovely stay at Deb's B&B. The open space and adjoining farm makes for a lovely rural stay very close to Taree. Deb has done a wonderful job in making this B&B quaint. Deb was excellent when our circumstances prevented us having to cancel an earlier booking. It was good to finally make the trip south and we enjoyed meeting Deb in person.

Loved our unique little stopover in historic building

From the get go Deb was extremely lovely and helpful. We felt so honoured to stay in the original Ghinni Ghinni post office.. an amazing array of treats for us humans and a sweet doggie bag of goodies for our two pooches welcomed us, as well as very generous breakfast supplies. The place was lovely and clean with a super comfy bed. We will definitely book again.

Historical charm and very pet-friendly

Deb has set up this delightful historical building as a cosy and comfortable b&b for humans and pooches. It is immaculately clean and has every mod con you could rrquire. We also arranged for Deb to prepare a meal and special dessert as we were travelling on my husband's birthday and they both proved fresh and delicious. Would strongly recommend this place as a half-way stop between Canberra and Brisbane.

Property very well presented, charming. Although near highway, quiet inside. Very comfortable, all needs and more provided for, even for my little poodle. Directions need to be more accurate and spoke with owner about this upon leaving. When next going up the north coast, will definitely make another stay.

Fantastic alternative for pet friendly accommodation

Our host Deb provides dining choices. We ordered a platter for four as we were meeting up with old friends while travelling from QLD to NSW. Deb provided an amazingly generous platter ( ordered from her website) and it was such a lovely stay knowing that our dog Bonnie was genuinely welcomed. Yes, it is rustic, but such a better alternative to so many ‘pet friendly’ offerings that are on offer in the older style motels you find on the highway. Highly recommend!

A gem for overnight travellers with pets.

A beautiful setting with plenty of thoughtful touches. My overnight stay with two border collie dogs was a perfect rest stop. A large, fenced yard with dog toys and bowls provided. Deb is a fabulous host who cooked up scrumptious breakfast.

Charming stop over

The old post office is comfortable and the hosts very welcoming. I enjoyed the antiques and history of the property and I was overwhelmed with supplies provided for both myself and my chihuahua. Safe and exciting property for dogs. Great stop over close to M1. Recommended.

Hidden highway gem!

We had a wonderful stopover at the old Post Office. The accommodation is a beautiful period property just off the highway that is VERY dog-friendly and filled with old world charm. The host, Deb, is amazing and made the stay very enjoyable. We will be back again!

Ghinni ghinni spacious 4 room historical cottage

Wonderful comfortable stay with everything you could need including an air fryer, homemade, home grown pumpkin soup and a well stocked first aid kit, all of which we made use of. Our Border Collie was in heaven with plenty of green grass to run around on and doggie treats. We slept incredibly well in the very comfortable bed. Delicious brekky incl farm eggs. Very interesting storybooks on the history of the property and about good places to go locally. We will be returning.
