Weekend get away

Nice very clean our stay was very quiet Enjoyed the stay Parking could be better (but i have a large suv ) And AC's need to be a little bit larger but they do keep it cool Real nice place to stay 😌

Perfect spot for our getaway

We enjoyed our stay here! It’s a small house but the perfect size for me and my husband. The shower was his favorite part. Very close to the sea wall and the strand. We would definitely stay again.

Great place for a beach getaway!

We highly enjoyed our stay. Very close to the beach, one of which is a public beach within walking distance. Very comfortable stay for four if needed but it was just my sister and I. Clean property plenty of stuff to cook with if your into cooking on your stay. And they even have a beach wagon to tote the beach chairs and umbrella that is also included. Loved our little beach getaway, we drove all the way from Nebraska which was a 14 hour drive but well worth the drive.

The was the perfect place for us to stay (since it was just the two of us). Place was clean, comfortable and cute, cute, cute !!! Parking spot was a little small for our truck but it worked. Would definitely stay here again.

Galveston Bungalow

This house was very cozy a d charming. The owners were very thoughtful with amenities. Would be great if it had sufficient air conditioning. It was uncomfortable to sleep and extremely uncomfortable to cook.

Hi John, we want all our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that your stay fell short of expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We strive to make our house as comfortable as possible for our guests. We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced, at the time you booked, unfortunately, the area has experienced a heat wave for over two weeks. As an extra measure, we purchased a second air conditioning window unit to ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded. There are fans to move the air around in some of the rooms to help with air circulation and added comfort -We provide our Welcome booklet that details the property manager's contact information. We would have been more than happy to resolve this issue during your stay had you reached out We want all our guests to enjoy their stays and we look forward to hosting many satisfied guests in the future!

Good place

The place was clean which is a big thing to me.. It was just the right size for my husband and 1. Was glad for the fenced in yard so we could put our e- bikes in for the night. Really liked how close it was to seawall.. We just rode our bikes or walked, even to supper we just walked to Saltgrass steakhouse.. Would definitely stay again.

Well-equipped, , everything new/renovated/clean

It was tricky to find bc GPS didn’t show the 1/2 street, but property mgr was quick to answer my calls/texts. Recently completely renovated, so everything was brand new. So nicely decorated & it had more than we expected based on other past rentals, for ex kitchen had spices/condiments, plastic wrap, etc. The house next door was a turn off, but neighbor told us it’s also being renovated soon. Kitchen, bathroom & laundry room didn’t cool enough, a/c didnt flow throughout the house adequately, but our understanding is that’s also being fixed. Super close to beach, just a few mins walk, but we drove bc it was so hot & we like Babe’s beach better than the one closest to the house. We had a great time, also enjoyed Pleasure pier & Moody Gardens while there.

Not as advertised

The house was difficult to get in and out of . People park right in the one lane road. Very hard to locate turn in at night. House, bed and pillows smelled very old and rank. Found out it’s a rebuild of a OLD house from 50’s. Next door to another really rotted out house the owner has bought also and is renovating this fall. Guess it BBC will be advertised as new too by then. Was not on the beach at all.

Clean and comfortable.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It is a nice clean little place. Everything was great except it was hot inside at first. We used the beach towels provided to cover some windows so it would cool down and that worked nicely. Some better window coverings would help. Communication with the manager was very abrupt and kind of rude. When I asked if we could possibly check in a little early (the check in time is late) all I got from the text was an abrupt “no”. Then another text stating “4:00”. That’s fine but no need to be rude. It was stated somewhere in our transactions that we could request if an early check in time was available so a kinder reply would have been nice. I would still give the house a 9 out of 10 though. We enjoyed our time in Galveston very much.

Blue Dolphin is clean and cozy!

House is ~80 years old and has been restored very well. Outside of window a/c units being a little loud, it’s a great place to stay. Bed is comfortable!

Wonderful place to stay.

The dolphin house is THE place to stay when you’d like to visit Galveston. From its amazing, and beautiful interior, to the location, you couldn’t wish for a better place to stay. Susan and Carl were easy to reach and great to communicate with. I myself am a runner and loved the fact that you’re just two blocks away from the ocean wall which is great to run. My wife and I will definitely be back! Thank you Susan & Carl for all that you’ve done to make our stay more that perfect.
