The sort of place where, even if youâve only got a couple of days free for a break, it feels like youâve been there a week. Totally relaxing, a stunning view and a beautiful deck to enjoy it all. Simon is a lovely host and weâll definitely be back.
Highly recommend!! We will be back! Simon is a friendly host. The property is peaceful and the view from the deck even better in person. The accommodation is clean and comfortable.
The property is located in a great location, quiet and peaceful, yet close to Berry and the beach. The deck gets sun most of the day which is lovely in winter. However, some aspects did leave us with a bad aftertaste. Firstly, two of the bedrooms were locked, making the place feel much smaller than it is. Secondly, we arrived very late in the evening on the first day, missing out on nearly 8 hours that we payed for. Yet the owner's cleaner was at our doorstep within an hour of the check-out time on the last day, followed by the owner prompting us to make a move - not very generous. Further the owner was highly upset that we charged our electric vehicle using the house's power outlet. This would've cost much less than leaving the air-con on all night, and ignoring the fact that the cost of renting the house includes electricty used, and that no specific notice was provided that we could not charge our vehicle. All considered, cannot recommend this property.
We enjoyed our stay at the stockyards. The house was very clean & quite comfortable. The view to the fields with animals was lovely. The only drawback was the lack of privacy. One side of the house looks onto the owner's house & we felt quite exposed. They weren't out in the yard much but .... Also the house is on a small bit of grass so you can't walk around & explore the whole farm at all. Apart from that it was peaceful & provided a good break.
We had a fabulous stay at The Stockyards. The cottage was exactly as described, the convenient location and views were even better. It was private and very comfortable for our family and as neat as a pin and we appreciated the thought that had been given to the little extras provided. You feel youâre a million miles from anywhere but the farm is minutes from Berry, Gerringong and Kiama - such a good base to explore the Shoalhaven area. And the beauty and quiet of the Foxground valley with its resident horses, cattle and birdlife was wonderful. Thank you Olwyn and Simon! Highly recommend.
Thank you. It was a perfect, relaxing and very comfortable way to spend the holiday. Lovely to sit out on the deck and watch over the paddocks and horses. A well cared for and clean property.
Amazing, peaceful location with stunning views of the valley and escarpment. Close to everything including Berry, Gerringong, beaches, highlands and Jervis Bay. Being greeted by a bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice touch. The place was incredibly tidy, well-appointed and comfortable. Simon was a great host, dropping in to say g'day when he fed the horses in the morning. The deck and firepit area were great for evening drinks and chats. The perfect spot for mates to get together. We will be back!
We spent a long weekend visiting Jervis Bay, Kangaroo Valley and Minnamurra. The house was cosy with all creature comforts on hand. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom, and a lovely deck with gorgeous views of the valley (from most rooms too). Easy communication with host Simon.
The property was lovely, it was extremely clean, the furnishings were very comfortable and it was very well stocked. The views were beautiful, all in all, we had a very good stay
Amazing stay in a beautiful house, very clean and tidy.
Waking up in pure nature, with horses around. Perfect for families and friends!
A little paradise 5 minutes away from the beach, with very welcoming hosts who make sure you are enjoying.
Nestled in a lush, peaceful valley of nature, and mere minutes from Seven Mile Beach, Berry and Gerringong. This place has everything you need for a calming stay. Perfectly equipped, delicious beds. Amazing views from every room. A balcony that begs you to sit, relax and take it all in. Simon is a perfect host, with wonderful stories that brings the place to life.
