Perfect spot for a ski vacation

We loved staying here - the accessibility to the gondola and the ability to ski almost to the door made it great for the group of us that were skiing daily. For the non-skiers, we could walk around the area easily and not need to move the car at all. The place was great - spacious and comfortable and the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to have many meals there. Can't wait to return!

Perfect location!

We had a great time staying at the condo. The location is perfect for skiing and only 10 min walk to Main St. We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Family vacay in Breck

Great communication prior to arrival. I received daily emails with driving inxs and check in info. The location was great…right across the street from the gondola and walkable to downtown shops and restaurants. There was an under the road tunnel so no issues crossing the road. We were able to ski into the complex very easily with only a short walk to the unit. The townhouse was spacious and perfect for a family of 4. The kids had their own room and bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, cups etc and enough pots and utensils for us to cook one night. Our only complaint was the heater made a knocking noise that kept us up a couple nights. The property manager was quick to send someone out to look at it but the heat in master room couldn’t be regulated. Thankful for a cracked window and 20 degrees outside! Overall great VRBO. Would recommend.

Location and view from deck were fine. We had to clean the deck and plastic chairs as they were very dirty when we arrived. The 20 stairs we had to climb from the garage to the living area were difficult for 2 people in their 70s. Garage door made a terrible noise when open or closed.

Excellent house for family skiing

Had a great time with the family Skiing, Jan 2023. Favorite things about this rental. - private backyard and view of forest and ski slope - heated garage fit a suburban - good storage in the closets - instant hot water - Fireplace - very convenient shuttle to take you where you needed to go. - easy access to town Would definitely rent again.

Lovely visit

Had a great long weekend at this cozy and convenient townhouse in Breck. Heated garage was awesome, home layout was perfect for our family. Took a couple days to realize how to ski in, but then essentially skied right into the backyard! Very clean, well maintained— would definitely choose it again!

Location location location

The property is perfectly located near the Gondola, downtown Breck and 4 o'clock run. Once you get there you never have to drive again. The communication from the property manager for this specific unit was frequent and accurate.

Great property

This was a great property. It provided plenty of room and was convenient to the slopes and town of Breckinridge. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the shuttle reliability. They were not very reliable. On our third morning of skiing, they were not available at all to pick us up. Wait times on occasions were excessive. The great news is that you can walk to just about everything if you want to.

Great location, nice unit, a few loose ends

Our first stay in Break, and we enjoyed Mountain Thunder's location (easy walk into town, woods right at your back door). The unit was spacious, welcoming. Check-in was as described, with no problems. There were a number of burned out light bulbs in the unit, a minor thing in your own home but I'm not looking to make a trip to the hardware store on vacation. Like other rentals, some things felt a bit dated -- like a CD iPod player from 10+ years ago, a master bedroom mattress that has its best days behind it, etc. But, overall, a positive experience.

Great location. Great condo

Our family of 4 (2 teens) stayed here in January and were very happy with the unit and the location. Since it was our first time skiing at Breckinridge, I was not sure what to expect with the ski in/gondola out. There is a gondola that goes from town to peaks 7 and 8. It is a 5 min walk (not a hard walk at all even with skis) to the gondola. Not parking is a huge benefit. We were there the first week in January and did not wait more than 5 mins for a lift. Skiing back at the end of the day is simple. The mountain's signage is very good. You can also walk to town from the condo - again, much easier than parking in town. The kids used the outdoor hot tub in the complex. They had it to themselves. The condo was perfect for our family - very comfortable and spacious. Heated garage, space to remove boots etc. was nice. My only complaint was the smell in the condo when we arrived. Not sure if it was the cleaning supplies used, but it lingered most of the week. The kitchen had what we needed. Recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker as the sound system is outdated. Would definitely stay in this complex again, and would recommend that actual condo. Would NOT recommend Elevation Sports - the rental company referred by the property management. There are lots of other choices.

Great location, but needs improvement

My family and stayed here for 6 nights in July. The location is great, it’s a block from the gondola station, bike path and downtown. We never ran out of activities and things to do. The property is easily accessible and in a quiet well manicured neighborhood. The garage was great to park bikes in, and the overall space was large enough. For the cons, it wasn’t anything too bad but having stayed at many other rentals, I felt the attention to detail was lacking. My biggest complaint would be that the interior is dated and a little dingy and definitely needs an update. The carpet on the stairs is stained and dirty and the furnishings are dated and a little mismatched, like random garage sale pieces just thrown together. The patio furniture is just plastic chairs that are stained and flimsy. Honestly they just need to be thrown away. The bedrooms only have small lamps that only work when the wall switch is on and the only ceiling fan is in the living room. It looks like the bedrooms had ceilings fans but were taken out and covered with a ceiling blank cover. Some fans, even a small table fan would be nice to offer guests in the summer. There were board games, but lots of pieces were missing so we had to improvise. I am an interior designer and rental proper owner also, so I may tend to be more picky than others, but I feel with a few improvements the space would look amazing and from an owners standpoint they could charge a lot more and stay consistently booked.

Overpriced and Not Luxury

I Do Not like leaving a review like this, however under the circumstances it is warranted. We stayed from December 17th - December 21st and paid a premium price for accommodations that were definitely not premium. This is a nice place, however it's a far cry from being a "luxury townhome". Just a few examples: The master bed desperately needs to be replaced, the carpet throughout is dirty, lighting is limited (and bulbs missing), heat was not turned on prior to our arrival (which we were SHOCKED by) and took a day and a half for it to heat up (never to a comfortable level or to thermostat setting), fireplace works, although turning off was hit or miss. Yes, there are (3) TV's, however we had to go buy batteries for two of them as they were dead (again we were shocked this could be missed by property management/housekeeping). Be prepared, the Gondola is not "right across the street" (its a 12+ minute walk and need to plan on carrying skis/poles and walking in ski boots). You can "ski in" using the 4 o'clock Run, however there is no landmark telling you where to turn which makes for a long walk back or getting a ride back. There is a LONG list of house rules, check out details, etc. - if they would only provide a list of some simple things; who to contact for free shuttle, map of how to get to Gondola (underground tunnel), details of how to "ski in", where dumpster is, etc. The best part of our stay was getting our check out time extended ($200.00).

The moose makes it perfect….

Really enjoyed our stay. Fantastic location-close to buses and the gondola and only a short walk to town. Hot tubs were in close proximity. Had the closets full of blankets which we loved curling up under. Would highly recommend.

Mountain Thunder Townhouse stay

We really enjoyed staying at the Mountain Thunder townhouse! Everything was very clean and spacious. The location to town and the gondola was perfect. The owner was very prompt at responding to our one call when the carbon monoxide alarm needed replaced. My family enjoyed swimming in the pool. The only thing that was missing was a grill on the porch but we were able to use the community grill at the pool. We will be back!

Snowy March Surprise

Excellent property for spring skiing. Use the door to door shuttle to get you where ever you want to go. Clean, beautiful property. Master bed could use a new mattress - sink holes or extremely soft mattress.

We stayed three weeks in February. It was a great place to stay for our trip. Very good responsiveness from the management team. Easy peasy, which is exactly what we'd hoped for!

Perfect location for family ski getaway

We stayed as a family with our 3 boys. The property was perfect size for us. There were so many great points about the property - spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and a full kitchen with every possible items you need. The boys loved the moose on the wall and board games. We were in Breckenridge to ski so the heated garage was great and the downstairs area for boots and coats was a plus. We found it very easy to get to the base of the mountain using the included shuttle and loved being able to ski back in at the end of the day. Communication with the property manager Ryan was excellent. He was also extremely helpful when we got stuck because of a winter storm and we were able to extend our stay another day. Our family would definitely stay here again!

Great location and property!

We spent 5 nights at Ryan's property at Mountain. Thunder in Breckenridge. We loved the convenience to town and so many hiking and biking trails! I. thought the house was very well laid out for a family in summer or winter with plenty of space for shoes, skis, outdoor equipment in the garage and entryway. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were roomy and well laid out. We would definitely stay again!
