Our farm is a private sanctuary alongside rushing rivers, waterfalls, forested valleys, and the Bruce Trail. Youâll feel the stress of the city roll off your shoulders as you pull into our laneway. Our property and farmhouse are perfect for couples and families - especially those that love the countryside. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy wineries, farm-to-table restaurants, art collections and craft galleries, as well as a world of forested trails to hike and/or bike.
Most important is our host, Justin, who always goes above and beyond. When we had a need to make our booking earlier, Justin made it happen. He was always quick to respond to questions and assist if and when needed. The quiet location made for beautiful walks down the country roads, but was a quick and convenient 10 minute drive to Orangeville. The beds were comfortable, the home well equipped, and stayed cool even during July/August. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet.
Fell in love with the property on first sight, much prettier than the pictures. The location is so peaceful and it feels isolated despite other properties nearby and it being just 15 minutes to Orangeville. The house is spacious and well equipped, everything you need in the kitchen for meal prep. The living room is wonderful with a great fireplace and view over the gardens. Outside there are seating areas on all sides so you can follow the sun or the shade depending on the time of year and at night the stars were amazing. We enjoyed exploring the grounds and did get into the woods but not all the way to the river, old knees and a broken toe making limitations. Lots of parks to explore in Orangeville and we really liked Mono Cliffs Provincial Park. The owner was very quick to answer any questions. We came away feeling very relaxed
This farmhouse was set back off the road in a very quiet peaceful setting. There was lots of green space and a meadow out the back leading to a hiking trail that meandered along a river (couldn't see it for the lush foliage but could hear the rushing water) The fire pit/patio area was nice as well as the large deck area with BBQ. Our weather was great and we sat outside and did some artwork. Inside the farmhouse were spacious areas to cook, have meals together, watch TV (we used our own Netflix), play board games or sit in front of the natural fireplace and read. Justin even supplied us with firewood which was so appreciated. The bedrooms upstairs were roomy, comfortable and beds were great. Bathroom was clean, large with a walk in shower and bathtub! We had everything we needed. The hiking in the area was awesome. I do hope the opportunity arises so we can return here.
Itâs a beautiful old-fashioned country house with all appliances up-to-date. The owners were friendly and helpful. The property is very large and beautiful, out of the view of other houses. I canât imagine anyone being disappointed.
No better place for friends, family and two dogs to celebrate Thanksgiving out of the city. Cozy, comfortable home with fantastic views of the autumnal colours. Plus access to great walking trails down to the Hockley Valley.
This was a lovely, rural, peaceful place to stay while attending a seminar in Orangeville, which was just a short drive away. Breakfast on the porch or looking out over the meadow was a good way to start the day. The grounds were nice to walk around, but sadly we were unable to get to either the river or the nearby waterfall because the hiking trails accessed from the property were steep and overgrown. The listing said "private sanctuary alongside rushing rivers, waterfalls, forested valleys, and the Bruce Trail" so we were a bit disappointed to not see a river or a waterfall even though we could hear them. The wifi was unreliable, but none of us were working during our stay so it wasn't a big issue for us. The house itself was spacious and comfortable, and despite not having A/C we weren't too hot on the August long weekend. We would happily stay there again.
