Minimal and chic, north facing studio with natural light all day long. The space is large, fully furnished and tastefully equipped with everything you need to enjoy beautiful Byron. Private entry, parking space and bathroom. Close to the beach and shopping.
Terumi was helpful and kind, and also offers an e-bike rental service which we really enjoyed. The property was homely and well-designed, it would have been nice however to have had more detailed information about the cooking facilities before entering.
Thankyou Terumi for our lovely stay! The loft looked exactly like the pictures, was clean and cosy and check in/out was easy. Terumi was friendly and answered all our questions :)
The property looks the same as advertised but it is full of ants. Ants were in the kettle, coffee machine, and crawling everywhere. You can only have one appliance running at one time. We tried to turn on the cooktop while the microwave was on and everything turned off. Then we tried to turn the cooktop on with the air conditioner running and it kept turning off. Very annoying! Only cutlery on the property so I had to flip my eggs with a spoon and fork. No spatula or anything to use with the frying pan. The clothes horse was broken so we couldnât dry any of our clothes properly. The tv kept glitching too. The main thing wrong is the ants running everywhere.
Beautifully decorated loft and spacious. It is quite far from Byron Bay central especially with traffic (anywhere from 10 to 20 min drive) so you need to be ok with that especially if you don't have a car with you, although the neighborhood where the loft is itself is cute and there are amazing shops, coffe shops and a brewery all in walking distance.
Biggest issue was that the AC couldn't be turned on without breaking a fuse if the fridge, coffee maker or microwave were plugged in. We didn't know that the first night so all the milk and eggs we bought went bad. Since we have medication that needs to be refridgerated, we had to sacrifice the use of some amenities (washing machine, microwave, coffee machine etc.) So we could have the fridge and AC on without blowing a fuse. Also the kitchen doesn't have a stove or oven, just hot plates. Its more of a kitchenette. The bathroom didn't have a hair dryer which was unfortunate.
I think if you know these things going in to it and expect /plan for it (ie. We were planning to cook meals at home but could not) you will have a great stay as its a very pretty loft.
Terumi was an excellent host. The location was great (quieter area away from the busy town centre), parking was easy and the studio was spacious and felt like home immediately. There is a lot of natural light which was nice (it does get bright early but this didnât impact our stay at all).
I loved this place for my first night's stay. Comfortable bed, great feel inside the space, really nicely decorated, with lots of special touches. All the conveniences needed including a little stove to make some light meals, and heating. The first night I slept beautifully. As it is in a semi-industrial area, you will be woken relatively early, due to workers arriving on and around the property. At least they were playing happy, relaxed music on the site next door.
Sadly my second night's stay was marred by someone practising their electric guitar playing, in what sounded like the room next door, from 9.45 until 10.45. I had gone to bed and was asleep so did freak out a bit when this happened...especially as the host of this apartment specifies not to be noisy after 9 pm. The noise of people to and froing up until about 12 pm continued. To make matters worse the building site the next morning had switched up their music to full on head banging music, involving lots of swearing. Ended up leaving with a total different feel to my first day's stay.
The studio was lovely and the location was great (5 minute walk to the brewery or supermarket), kitchen set up was decent, no condiments provided eg. oil, salt or pepper. Shelving where crockery and glassware very dusty. Quiet area at night, All in all a lovely stay.
Great space and loved the location - so many interesting places in that industrial estate. Host was most helpful and the place was very comfortable. Would recommend.
Loved the light atmosphere, it was so welcoming, the beautiful music and fairy lights on, when I came. Loved the decore, so clever. Loved the area, so interesting Will definitely stay again. Wanted to stay longer the second time, but would have preferred to contact directly, did try vic the internet, but this was problematic, was a little dissapointed.
Cosy, welcoming, sunny and relaxed living. Interesting area to explore minutes away from Byron City Centre. Plenty of fantastic, Cafes and healthy places to eat.
