The host, Taiji, is also a rideshare driver who took us to Kyoto and Awaji Island (Hyogo) for a flat rate for 8 hours and stays on standby with his van that fits 9 persons and plenty of luggage room. We used his services for 2 separate days while on our trip. He drives to wherever we asked and we tell him how much time we needed at each place. He offered to pick us up from Kansai Airport for a flat rate, which was how we learned that he can also drive us to various places. We were a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) and 7 luggage. There is an extra fee for going over 8 hours. Now for his home, it's 4 floors with 4 bedrooms, a kitchen and living room on one floor, a family room and 2 bathrooms, although the bathrooms are small like the rest of Japan. Dining table for 4, small refrigerator, washer and dryer, tankless water heaters and wifi are helpful. AC in each room needs to be turned on and working for 30 minutes when you arrive. Compared to hotel rooms in Japan, this house is spacious. As for its location, the 7-Eleven and train station(Fuse Station) is about 5 minutes walk. The 7-Eleven has everything you need, food, water, beer, laundry detergent, and luggage delivery service. The train into Osaka downtown and Dontonbori is about 10 minutes and to Umeda about 15 minutes. There are bars and restaurants in and around the Fuse Station including Kintetsu Market, Crafts Beer, Bar Stax, and yakitori BBQ. FYI, Fuse Station is close to Nara(deer place). Great place and great time
We were 2 families of 4 and the house fit all of us and space for more. The home is older but it is very convenient to the subways. Bonus that there was a separate washer and dryer! The host was very attentive and dealt with everything we needed.
A gem tucked away on a small street.
No car access, but very near to the conveniences of Fuse station and plenty of room inside the house.
I will stay here again.
We enjoyed staying here. The location is great. There are several train stations nearby. There are plenty of food options nearby. We needed a laundromat one day and that was close by. We even found a local mochi maker down the way.
The house was on a quiet street. It was fully stocked with extra towels, sheets, and enough dishes and kitchen supplies needed for our extended stay. The manager was very responsive to 2 emergencies that came up. He dealt with them instantly. The washer and dryer and hanging area all worked out well. The fridge was small but fit everything that we needed, which were mostly drinks. 9 of us fit very comfortably in the house. And there was plenty of hot water for us all to take a shower!
I would definitely recommend this place again!
