Thank you for your review. We offer an inexpensive yet we believe quality option for a stay in Barbados. The villa does not have air conditioning and this keeps costs down for guests, many of whom are repeat customers. In the 20 or so years of the villa being available for holiday rentals, we have never had issues such as these and so when you communicated with us wishing to relocate closer to your work in St James, we agreed to refunding you, despite you not being entitled to this. You received a full refund at significant cost and inconvenience to us. It was indeed clear that the property was a mismatch as you were working at the other side of the island and further research prior to booking would have shown that the villa was located just too far from your place of work. We would always recommend this. We have a housekeeper on hand, Cheryl, to help with any issues and answer queries that guests may have during their stay and she will have explained that on days where there is no sun in Barbados to heat the water, despite this being heated by solar power, there is an override to ensure hot water remains available. We were not aware of drawers being dusty and apologise if these had been overlooked. I note the comments regarding the car and access onto the drive. Other guests have used the drive successfully and obviously we cannot do anything about a car becoming hot in the tropics. Finally, regarding proximity to Miami Beach, the villa is 1 mile away. We’re sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Seabreeze. Most of our guests return year after year and so a review like this is quite unusual. We do recommend car although this is not necessary, and the ad for the property does clearly state there is no air conditioning - most prefer the gentle cooling of the ceiling fans but for those who like the icier cool of a/c, they might prefer to opt for alternative accommodation. We are sorry the CD player did not work for you. We will look into this - we were not aware of this until now. Many thanks for your frank feedback. As you know, I was saddened to hear of your initial disappointment with Seabreeze on your arrival...as we always aim to please and have never received any negative comments such as this ever before, it really was a shock when we spoke during your your stay. However, I appreciated your feedback and attended to your comments straight away, and immediately offered you a refund if you wished to move on as I really didn't want you to not enjoy your holiday on this beautiful island and indeed in our lovely property. You asked to sleep on it and discuss with your wife, and on the following day, you chose to remain at Seabreeze as by the second day you had started to feel more settled. We do our best to ensure our guests have a fab stay and really don't like to hear of any disappointment - this is a first for us, and hopefully will be the last. Cheryl is an amazing lady and Terry always responsive, helpful and hands on - and I'm pleased you found them to be also. Once again, thank you for your feedback - just to respond to your 2 other points, we periodically change the photos uploaded to HomeAway and I am not aware that the ones shown are 8 years old, but of course will check this. Lastly, in regards to the condition of the exterior paintwork on the fridge, the touching up that you refer to will be as a result of superficial rusting of the exterior paintwork as a result of the high presence of salt in the air due to the proximity of the property to the sea. Many properties in Barbados located close to the beach will suffer this problem and regular painting, maintenance, touching up of painted metalwork is a necessity. Thankfully, the touching up of the paintwork doesn't affect the efficiency or safety of the fridge which is still in correct working order. Appliances in the kitchen and Utility room have been and will continue to be changed or updated as required. Best wishes, Suzanne
