Summary:
Welcome to our charming one-bedroom, one-bath studio at Retro Rainbow Herb River Hideaway! This cozy upper-level apartment accommodates up to 4 guests with a king-size bed and a queen-size pull-out sofa. Enjoy the screened-in deck and the soothing sounds of the nearby marsh. Located just 8.5 miles from downtown Savannah, a scenic 30-minute drive will take you to beautiful Tybee Island. We provide professional photos along with real-time images from our cleaning team, so you know exactly what to expect. We look forward to hosting you!

The Space:
Located on the upper portion of a duplex, you will access the entire upper-level studio apartment once you have navigated a flight of stairs.
When you arrive at our property, you will be greeted with everything that makes Savannah so charming. Mature trees are dripping with Spanish Moss, and the marsh that welcomes the Herb River will be your backdrop.
Once inside our home, an open concept living style is front and center. Our living room is equipped with a large flat-screen TV complete with Roku, as well as a couch that pulls out into a queen-size bed.
The kitchen is stocked with all your basics to help you settle in and cook a meal. Off the kitchen is a quaint dining table with seating for 4. In the bedroom, you will find a king-size bed as well as a stackable washer and dryer for use during your stay. The bathroom is newly updated with a large walk-in shower. The fully screened upper-level deck has a small table and chairs, perfect for your morning coffee or relaxing and enjoying the southern marsh vibes. We also provide two parking spots for our guests in a private sand parking area next to the marsh. We know you will love your time in Savannah and our cozy southern apartment! See you soon!

With a gorgeous view and easy access to everything that makes Savannah so charming, you will find yourself right at home in our sweet southern retreat! Free wifi, pet friendly with fee. We have a community game area with a great deal of seating and a grill. It also consists of different games such as volleyball, corn hole, ladder toss, and more!

Guest Access:
The house has a digital combo lock pad. We will provide you with the code upon check-in.

The Neighborhood:
Our location on the marsh provides the perfect back drop for what makes Savannah so charming! Large mature trees dripping in Spanish Moss, breezy nights and a location that is close to dining, shopping and adventure.

Getting Around:
We recommend driving and offer parking for our guests. However, Uber and Lyft service the area as well.

Other Things to Note:
We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 21 years of age to book.

If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.

We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

Sweet waterfront apartment

Perfect getaway spot. Close to downtown Savannah but away from the hustle and bustle. Great little kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal, nice sitting area with flatscreen television, comfy king-sized bed.

Nice place, good location

We had a good stay overall. Communication was great with the host. Location was very good, in close proximity to everything we needed. Few things we didn’t like were the noisy road nearby with busy traffic. It was hard to sleep due to cars buzzing around. The house is a duplex and we could hear people under us banging around late into the evening, kind of like in the apartment complex. Trash needed to be removed and taken across the busy road. Otherwise, everything else went well.

Tournament Weekend

This VRBO was in the perfect location for our weekend tournament at Forest City on Ferguson St. We enjoyed time on the dock and sitting outside enjoying the scenery. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed three nights, very comfortable bed, wonderful upper screened porch. Smart TV plays YOUR subscriptions, so be prepared to sign in. Easy access to Savannah and Tybee Island.

annoying issues that added up!

The place had a great view but had trouble getting in as the keyless entry was a black screen and had issues. The dock was chained off to the bottom deck so my husband had to limbo under it to get onto the dock to fish. We picked this spot so he could fish and it was difficult for a 75 year old man to get down to the lower level. . It should have been open to us. Also all the remotes were mounted on the wall nicely but were behind the curtains so had to search. Also no info on the tv and not used to roku. It could be a good place if the owners would make it more people (guest) friendly.

Not Cleaned & Locked Out

Unfortunately our stay was compromised by a few factors: not being able to enter with the details that were provided since the code did not work, and then finding that the unit had not been cleaned before our arrival. We arrived after-hours on a Friday to find that the code we were provided did not work on the unit or the gate. Thankfully after a few calls and frantic voicemails, someone from the office answered and was able to provide me with a different code to get into the apartment. The code for the private dock never worked however. Then after getting into the unit, we found it in a dirty and unclean state as if they had not cleaned the unit after the previous guest. I reached out to the company about this in hopes that their care for customer service would resolve it before getting a negative review, but they failed to get back in touch with me with a resolution on the matter. What was supposed to be a pleasant wedding anniversary trip, turned into a bit of a stressor. Other than that however, the location is incredible and the private dock was very enjoyable. If you can get past the outdated and dirty apartment, with poor customer service, then I would say it's a great unit to book for a vacation!

It was our first time going to Savannah and it was for our 15th anniversary and we were very pleased with everything and had an amazing time. We will definitely be back!!!

Easy and convenient location, Pet-freindly, quiet

We chose this rental because of its proximity to Wormsloe, where we were participating in a race, but it was convenient to many other parks, shopping, places to eat, and a short ride to the historic downtown Savannah. We also chose this place because parking was a sure thing, and the dog fee was not as pricey as some other rentals. The interior was what we expected, and it was clean. The kitchen could really use some work. Because of the cabinets (some drips and food stuck to them and they aren't in great shape) and lack of dishwasher, it had a FEELING of uncleanliness. If you choose to cook here, the kitchen is pretty outfitted with cooking and dining needs, which we appreciated. The living area was clean and nicely appointed with a large tv and easy to use AC/heat unit, the bed, lofty and clean with a convenient washer/dryer unit. There's no TV in the bedroom, which would be an easy, nice thing for the owners to add, especially when there's guests on the pullout sofa. The bathroom- no complaints here, either- hot water for the whole party, clean shower. The porch furniture is sort of gross and outdated- very dirty, so we couldn't sit out there for breakfast- it's weird, hard to maneuver (not made for outside?) wood that appears to not have been cleaned for a long time :-( bird poop. The thrift store price stickers were left right on them. There's a fire ring with plastic Adirondack chairs that we didn't get to use, but nice touch and wish we had time. You get the code to use the private dock, and we went out a couple of times to watch birds. The unit is VERY close to the road, which the photo does not show, but it wasn't very noisy (we travel with a noise machine, so maybe it was?) I would stay here again. Almost forgot- when we arrived, there were no towels and no bedding for the pullout sofa, but someone arrived (VERY sweet, personable person) with the items within minutes of me contacting the property about them, which was awesome- thank you.
