Welcome to our home in Savannah, GA! Our home is situated a few minutes away from the historic downtown district, Isle of Hope, and midtown where you'll find plenty of bars and restaurants in any direction! Our balcony boasts an unobstructed, calming view of the marsh during the day or in the evening.
Loved the size of the house and all the bedrooms and bathrooms. House location for a girls weekend in Savannah was great. Not really walking distance to historic downtown but a lovely neighborhood and serene view of the marshlandsHouse could use a thorough refresh - towels, paint, linens. Otherwise a good value for the price for a group wanting their own spaces.
House was a beautiful surprise - it was just as described and pictured in the description! Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, well appointed with nice comfortable furniture and 2 large dining tables that easily accommodates large groups. Located in a great location for easy access to everywhere in Savannah. Only issues encountered were small and will probably be addressed by host and corrected. We had a problem connecting the Roku TV service since no one in our group was familiar with it, but Google helped us figure it out. Instructions in the "welcome" book for those of us who aren't familar with Roku would be nice. There were no serving pieces (like large bowls for chips, platters, etc.) and no glass bakeware (like Pyrex) that would have been nice to have. The house has both a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. If you plan to use the Keurig, you must use Keurig brand coffee pods (apparently a thing with newer Keurig brewers to not allow generic pods - it gives an "OOPS .. not compatible" notification). We were a group of women tennis players in a tournament who definitely enjoyed a great stay here. Will hope this house is available when we return again next year!
The property is beautiful. There is a great big yard and a stunning view across the street of the marsh. There is plenty of space for family to gather or have room to themselves. The kitchen was amazing but there was room for improvement with regard to cookware and cooking utensils. I brought what I knew I would need - mostly.. we were able to make do with what was there and what I brought. Keep that in mind if you plan to cook, I realize not everyone wants to cook when they are on vacation. I think I may not have had an accurate expectation based on the size and cost to rent the home but I found the towels and bedding to be below average. In my opinion these items were more in line with a lower end in hotel rather than a middle of the road hotel. All in all it was sufficient for our needs and despite everything, including rain all weekend which of course is no one's fault we enjoyed our stay and time with family. I would definitely consider staying there again. None of the things I mentioned were game changers, just my opinion.
