We have a 50 acre property, the farm house is completely separate to the main house, you will have your own space but we are close by if needed. We breed alpacas and currently have approx 20 on our property, we also have sheep and a small dog. You are welcome to walk around our property and visit the alpacas, they are very friendly and will come to the gate to say hello. You have a lovely deck overlooking the paddocks and can sit out there with a glass of wine and watch the alpacas.
Nice friendly hosts, but the things we felt disgruntled about were: #1 the Alpaca's weren't at the door as desired, a 'few' could be patted through a fence if lucky. #2 we had to get our own sugar, we assumed the complimentary things like sugar would have been checked, also not thrilled about stuff like coffee being in a jar like at home, not all people have the same hygiene standards. #3 I'm sure we'd seen somewhere that breakfast provisions were in place, the selections seen appeared to have been left behind by previous guests, not the hosts.
Such a beautiful place. We felt at home instantly. The fire was all set ready for us to light.Perfect reading a book by the fire on a frosty winter day.
Chris and Tracy were very welcoming hosts. Their farm was lovely and our accommodation was large, comfortable and spotless. We enjoyed observing the alpacas, relaxing and fantastic star gazing at night. Our Barossa Wine tour picked us up and we spent a memorable day touring the Barossa.I thoroughly recommend Aurora Sky with alpacas!Nick and Sophie.
We had a truely delightful stay at the B and B homestead, upon arrival we were welcomed by the stunning property exactly as described on the website. It was decided to spend the first day in pure relaxation taking in the peaceful surroundings while watching the Alpacas, sheep and corellas feed on the bottle brush trees. We enjoyed the tranquility of it all. Our host was incredibly friendly and greeted us upon arrival making sure we felt right at home. Tho location itself is perfect- nestled in the heart of the Barossa Valley, surrounded by wineries and charming near by towns. It truely offered us a great taste of the best the region has to offer. Highly recommend to anyone who are looking to unwind in a beautiful serene setting.
Thank you Tracy and Chris, it was wonderful to stay at your property, peaceful and quiet, great quality beds and the couch was heavenly. Lovely view out the windows, the alpacas so sweet, their eyes amazing. Great size TV (would love to have one that size). Also visited the sheep, they all came over to say hello. Loved watching your little dog zooming around the property. All in All we had a wonderful time and the filtered water lovely to drink. Even saw a kangaroo in your driveway during the day. Thank you for having us, cheers Allan and Julie
Everything about this place was wonderful. Great location, private (surprisingly so given the hosts live on the property), quiet and peaceful, and the accommodation itself was very clean and comfortable. It was delightful to be able to go for a wander and meet the neighbours (alpacas) as well. Tracy and Chris were both lovely, and excellent hosts. Will definitely visit again!
We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were excellent and met us even though we came in very late. Enjoyed the alpacas and the sheep and the beautiful stars. Thank you!
Organized 5 night trip for my daughter and her friend for their 21st Bday present. They both have had such a peaceful holiday after Uni exams. So many positive words about the owners and their property. They could not fault one thing apart from not being able to stay longer. Highly recommend to all.
We chose Adelaide for our 25 Wedding anniversary. Chris and Tracy's property was a home away from home and a good location for lots of attractions in and around the Barossa. Highly recommend for a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Great property, very comfortable, very clean, super nice hosts, very nice attractive surroundings...................highly recommend, would not hesitate to stay again
This was absolutely wonderful and you could not ask for nicer or more accommodating hosts. It was whatever you want in a holiday - a quiet getaway with no one to bother you or an involved experience around the farm and not too far from Mt Pleasant or Birdwood if you needed to get anything. Cannot give it a high enough tick.
I am a mortgage broker and my husband works full time on the farm, we love having people stay at our farm and are more than happy to have a chat about what we are doing on the farm at the time.
We are only an hour from the city but once you get here it is very remote with no other houses that you can see. It is very quiet and relaxing, perfect for a romantic getaway, a girls weekend or a just a night away. The stars are stunning at night time and it is very peaceful out here. If you just want to get away from everything for a day or 2 this is the ideal place to come.
