Brand new in 2021, a boho style, luxuriously furnished private retreat set in almost 3 acres of garden and surrounded by native bush. The only sounds you will hear are the insects and the abundant birdlife. You will be surrounded by nature and stunning vistas from your balcony from Bowentown to White Island. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a relax and reset from busy life. You have the entire property to yourself. We are also a very short walk from a large recreational park with bush walks, bike tracks and crystal clear swimming holes. A great base to explore the Bay of Plenty too, with stunning beaches within a 30 minute drive and the local golf course at the end of the road.
I canât recommend this lovely place enough. Really nice vibe, attention to detail, and a show stopping view. The gardens were especially nice. Will certainly try to stay again one day.
Stunning location above Katikati with outstanding views across the bush to Tauranga Harbour, Matakana Island and Mayor Island beyond. This well-planned immaculate retreat with tasteful decor, set in a beautiful parklike garden setting was beyond expectation. The sunset and the night sky from the spa was amazing. Definitely a place worth returning to.
Had a great couple of nights. Peaceful and quiet. My wife loved the walk around the gardens and the view was awesome. Definitely recommend. Thanks again.
The property was very clean and well equipped for a get away. The grounds were very well maintained and looked after. Lovely retreat for peace and quiet. Only heard the sounds of birds. The owners were very nice and easy to talk to. The unit was very clean and tidy and very cosy. We will visit again.
Nothing could have prepared us for this place. The apartment, the views, the spa, the gardens then the đ on top was a par 3 course at the bottom of the property. I encourage you to book in if you are looking for serenity and reconnection 11/10âïž
This was an amazing place. There were so many little touches in the apartment that made it feel very welcoming. The garden is expansive and stretches way down the hillside - it is so well-cared for and obviously well-loved. We saw nobody and had the place to ourselves. The spa was a real treat and at a pleasant hot temperature. The region is good and we enjoyed Waihi Beach and the reserve that was within walking distance.Altogether, this must be one of the best places we have stayed at and we highly receommend it!
Small slice of paradise. The folks were great, they've done a wonderful job with the place. Great view and great garden. Not too far from a lot of nice places to go and see.
We enjoyed the style and colour of the accommodation that compliments the experience of what a couples retreat should feel like.
We were very fortunate to have 1 overcast day, to experience the beautiful gardens/landscape and hidden treasures on our walkabout.
To top it off, the spa pool was another treat, relaxing with amazing views while sipping on red wine.
Compliments to our hosts Craig and Paula, on their vision for this retreat.
It is a reminder of God's creation.
Very blessed.
We have done the 'escape to the country' and purchased this 2 and a half acre property just a few years ago, with extensive gardens and views to die for. We have come from managing a Mount Maunganui Motel and loved the thought of sharing our new property with others so built an apartment style retreat to host guests.
This is the perfect property to take time out, rewind and reset. There's books to read and a picnic basket ready and waiting. We provide a garden map and there is so much to explore, we have 4 layers of gardens extensively planted. Come relax in the spa and soak in the views. Past guests tell us the photo's just don't do our Retreat justice, when there's a view there's always something to do!
This property is unique, surrounded by native bush but perfectly positioned to explore the Bay of Plenty (if you ever want to leave!). With New Zealand's best beach, Mount Maunganui just 40 minutes drive in one direction and the Karangahake Gorge just 40 minutes in the other direction. We have bush walks, river walks, art walks (less that 10 minutes drive in the mural town of Katikati). The newly opened Waitekohekohe Recreational Park is just a couple of hundred metres from our gate. So much to see and do if you have a few days to explore.
