We had an incredible summer getaway at this beautiful home in Huntsville! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful surroundings and thoughtful details throughout the home. The house was spotless, bright, and welcoming â perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun.We spent most of our time outside enjoying the gorgeous Muskoka summer. Mornings were for coffee on the deck, afternoons were spent exploring the area and enjoying the water, and evenings were relaxing. The outdoor space is private and surrounded by nature.Inside, the home had everything we needed â a well-stocked kitchen, super comfortable beds, and a great living space to unwind. The fans and windows kept the house cool during the warm days, and we loved how much natural light came in through every room. The location was perfect: just a short drive to downtown Huntsville for ice cream, shopping, and restaurants, and close to local parks like Arrowhead and Algonquin for hiking and exploring. The host was responsive and this home was the perfect base for our summer adventures. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already talking about booking again this fall and next year. Highly recommend â five stars all the way!
Great spot for 5 women on a girls getaway. Lots of space for everyone to have their own bedroom, cozy living room for social time and a great dining space for the group to get around the table. Walking distance to downtown was a plus.
The host was incredible and very responsive to our questions and needs. The house is very well stocked with everything you need and had ample room for 5 friends to each have their own room and space. There are only two bathrooms, both on the 2nd floor, so those sleeping in the loft, needed to come down the stairs to use the bathroom. We stayed in late August when it was cooler at night so were able to open the windows as there is no a/c. I would definitely book again in the cooler months of the year. We really enjoyed our stay and were very impressed with the hosts!
House was able to fit two families very comfortably. It is an older place with lots of character and some new renovations. A close walk to the main street of Hurstville if a plus and makes it easy meals and shopping. we did have one issue with the place but the host was very quick to resolve the problem.
Lots of space for everyone, great facilities, brilliant location for Algonquin, water sports at Algonquin Outfitters, and Huntsville generally.
Very pleased with everything including owner and helper.
The photos of the home donât do it justice! It was a beautiful home with lots of character. My children and my sister and I loved staying in such a lovely heritage home, and being able to walk downtown was a bonus.
Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home!
Needs a good spring cleanup but the snow had just left in the previous two weeks. House was great again. This our second time at this location for a hockey tournament and will probably book again for next year.
The property is clean but a little bit old.
It seems some places still renovate, it will be better soon.
We like the bath room is nice and nothing is missing.
Our family participated in the TriMuskokan---our first triathlon. Perfect accommodation close to start of race, and to the downtown for post race craft beer. The start of a family tradition.
We had such a great stay. The house was clean, cozy and tastefully decorated and we felt very much at home. We enjoyed some cross-country skiing at Arrowhead and some local shopping and restaurants ( in walking distance). A perfect mid- winter getaway.
We will do this again for sure.
