Superbe Buck Lake Cottage-10 Invités - Hivernisé - Détente, VTT, Traîneau, Canoë, Ski ...

Beau chalet spacieux toute l'année sur le lac Buck. 107 pieds privés de rivage sablonneux, vaste quai et terrasse au bord de la plage, idéal pour les jeunes enfants. Ce lac est rarement accidenté, a des eaux profondes jusqu'à 80 pieds pour une excellente pêche et est suffisamment grand pour le ski nautique, les tubes ou tout simplement le canoë / kayak. La région offre de nombreux terrains de golf, des sentiers de randonnée, des sentiers de motoneige et de VTT directement à partir du chalet, et Huntsville a des magasins et des restaurants fantastiques. Demandez plus de détails à ce sujet. À l'intérieur du chalet, il y a deux grandes chambres dans la partie supérieure qui sont doublées de pins et très confortables, le niveau principal est une cuisine, une salle à manger et un espace de vie à aire ouverte avec une vue magnifique sur le lac avec de grandes fenêtres neuves. Le rez-de-chaussée comprend un coin salon et une salle de jeux (ping-pong et baby-foot) tous à aire ouverte. Les salles de bain sont au niveau principal et au sous-sol. 2 autres chambres sont au niveau principal et au sous-sol. De nombreux jeux de société et la télévision par satellite sont inclus ainsi que tout le bois de chauffage que vous souhaitez utiliser à l'intérieur ou au foyer près de l'eau. Il y a une petite cabine de bunkie motorisée bordée de pins au bord de l'eau ainsi qui dort vos invités supplémentaires ou les adolescents. Vous adorerez séjourner dans ce chalet, en profitant de la chaleur du poêle à bois, après une journée à l'extérieur autour d'un café / chocolat chaud. Votre groupe ne sera pas déçu.

Enjoyed our time at Kirk’s cottage. Cottage was comfortable and clean. Photo’s of the property could be updated. Plenty of room for us and our daughter’s family. Kids loved the bunk beds!

Awesome vacation!

We had a great Christmas vacation. The cottage was spotless, and the communication with Kirk was excellent. The location is awesome. We had plenty of snow we spent six days in the winter fairyland. We will definitely be back soon.

Cozy Cottage Comfort

Stayed at this cozy cottage over the Thanksgiving weekend. Cottage was very clean and offered all the amenities and comforts of home. Lots of space and comfortable beds. The wood burning stove added a nice touch and was well used due to chilly temps. TV reception and internet were spotty at times. The deck and stairs could use some TLC. There is a quick slope down to the lake which is not as visible via pics online. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend visiting.

Great cottage

We had an amazing weekend at the cottage. The wood stove kept the main and upper floor warm until morning. We used the heater downstairs and it was warm and comfy there too. Let Kirk know about the DVD and TV problems and he's fixing that. TV satellite still worked but no movies. Renters with kids may be a bit disappointed if they expect to watch a few movies, so needed to mention that. Great cottage with a beautiful view of the frozen lake. Kirk's the best host I've dealt with and I've rented a lot the last 10 years. He called me while I was driving up there to make sure we weren't lost. Thanks again and all the best!

nice get away

My family stayed for three days at the cottage and it was as described and as in the pictures. We were lucky for good weather and enjoyed the lake and the having a camp fire.I would recommend this cottage to everyone if you want quiet and private time to enjoy.

Winter Getaway

Great spot on a beautiful lake next to snowmobile trails. Cottage was warm and comfortable. Very clean and nicely decorated.

The cottage was bigger than anticipated and quite open to accommodate 8 adults. The fall views were beautiful! Kirk is a wonderful host.

It was a girls getaway, 8 ladies. The area is beautiful, amenities great.

Amazing Cottage.

Our stay at Kirk and Krista’s cottage was amazing. It was very spacious with lots to do for all ages. It has everything you could possibly need. From the washer and dryer to even a dishwasher. The kitchen was very well stocked and the BBQ was great as well. From the sunrise on the dock to the campfires near the lake, we couldn’t have imagined a better getaway for our family. Would definitely recommend this cottage, and we hope to return again. Thanks so much Kirk and Krista!!

Great place, awesome waters

Nice cottage with a huge backyard that goes right into the water. Kirk was a responsive and helpful host. He's a got a fishing boat for rent which you can take out into the waters. The dock in the backyard is a cool fishing spot! Our family had a fun time, the cottage is well stocked with what's needed for a family cottage trip.

Very nice place

We stayed at the cottage for Victoria day long weekend, Kirk made sure that the deck is installed for our arrival. Everything was wonderful, the cottage has it all: dishwasher, washer, dryer, 2 washrooms and even foosball and Ping Pong tables, that we enjoyed. The basement is nice , my kids were sleeping comfortably down there. The bunkie is not really useful to have some guest staying there. Water was nice enogh for kids to wet their legs, I believe the water will be warm in summer. The lake is not huge, but beautiful and big enogh for a nice boat ride , fishing or tubing. Reception was not great and internet is a bit shaky when its really cloudy, but the satellite tv was was working spotlessly. Overall great host, great place, recommended!!

Favorite Getaway Destination

This is my second time renting this amazing cottage and we absolutely love it! Kirk is a great host and responded to all our questions before and during our stay. The cottage is spacious and comes with lots of indoor and outdoors entertainment options and the lake view is AMAZING! It’s so quiet and peaceful and feels like you have your private lake.

Amazing long weekend!

My husband and friends have a tradition to go up to a different cottage every Victoria Day long weekend and this was a gem. There was something for everyone to do from playing ping pong to enjoying the lake. Inside, the cottage was very well organized with clear instructions on how to locate anything you might need. The cottage itself was surrounded by many trees for those looking for solitude. Great stay.

Lovely cottage

Overall, the cottage was nice and quiet. We also loved the view of the lake!. However, I am not sure if it was because this was our first visit ever to the area during a rainy Spring, but we felt ill-advised on how bad the roads get. We faced many challenges trying to get to the cottage (flooded and blocked pathways). On top of that, there was poor to no access to phone communication. We're blessed to have run into nice people who helped us out, including a guy who volunteered to take us there through a different (longer) route. We're glad that there were board games and 2 TVs to entrain ourselves. Yet, one of the remotes was missing a battery and some of the games were incomplete. When preparing to check out, we couldn't run the dishwasher detergent cup because it wasn't closing. We left the trash outside, as indicated in the manual, but didn't know where to put it exactly as we couldn't find trash bins around the property. The firewood stove worked well, but it took longer to lit as the logs were all humid. It would have been nice to find dry ones inside the cottage. At night, we had to turn on the fan in the downstairs bedroom but it didn't' work without keeping the bright light connected to it on. Despite all the challenges, if you are looking to completely unplug yourself from noise and tech so that you can fully enjoy nature and your surroundings, this would be a great place to stay. We'd like to come back in the Summer.

Kirk and Krista Horsfield bought this Buck Lake cottage in 2011, situated only 30 minutes from their home in Huntsville so they could go there without planning too big. We both live and work in Huntsville and have done so for 29 years.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Views out to the lake from all the windows. Cozy woodstove in the great room. Flat level yard for all those summer activities like croquet, badminton and volleyball. Great mix of sun and shade areas to sit in your preferred weather. Guests will have excitement playing ping pong and fooseball in the games room.
