Amazing cottage on a beautiful sandbar. Has everything you would need and more. Hosts were incredibly kind and gracious. 10/10. We're already looking forward to returning.
A wonderful, secluded, little home away from home!
This place was just perfect! Off the beaten path and right on the water. Randy was wonderful to work with and always accessible. The house was fully stocked and very comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful time during our stay at Brenda and Randy's place.
There was nothing that we've missed. Our kids had an awesome time and so much fun playing running around and enjoying this wonderful place.
Thanks!
Randy and Brenda have a beautiful property and cottage. Immaculately kept grounds, extremely clean with all the amenities indoors and out. A great location to beaches, lighthouses and Charlottetown.
Randy and Brenda were a pleasure and always responded promptly. We will cherish the memories we made here and hope to return soon! The direct access to the beach was so ideal for our little kids to explore during high and low tide.
All around a hidden gem with wonderful hosts!
Randy and Brenda have thought of everything you need! We were there to tour the island and the location allowed us to do that. Truly, we would have loved to spend more time just enjoying the view from the screened in porch.
Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
This is a terrific two bedroom cottage in a wonderful location on the Northumberland Strait in PEI, a great place from which to base for exploration of the eastern and central parts of the island - or just to relax. The swimming at high tide was beautiful, and long walks along the sand possible at low tide. The property is right on the ocean with great views. It is only a six minute drive to Point Prim lighthouse, where you can go for seafood at the chowder house and/or to watch spectacular sunsets. New pizza place just up the road is a welcome surprise.
The only very wee drawback is no dishwasher - not an issue for us, but might be for bigger families staying.
Screwed in porch was the icing on the cake at this wonderful spot - we hope to return someday!
We had the most wonderful stay at Sandbar Secrets Cottage! Everything ran smoothly, from the initial communication/booking, to checking in - very detailed instructions, and we were greeted by Brenda who immediately welcomed us and made us feel at home. She made it feel like we were long lost friends seeing eachother again for the first time in years.
The cottage is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities of home! The view is incredible, the beach is perfect at low and high tide. And the neighbours are so friendly!!
I can't say enough good things about Randy and Brenda and their beautiful property. Thank you again so very much!
We loved the cottage and location. The hosts Brenda and Randy were there to welcome us and explain all the aspects of their beautiful immaculate cottage right on the shore. We biked 20 minutes down to the chowder house at the lighthouse for two suppers at the edge of the ocean. At low tide we walked out exploring tide pools and digging clams. Had a campfire overlooking the ocean. Visited the Rossignol winery closeby, took a trip to Charlottown for a day of souvenier shopping and seafood sampling. Visited the new Greenwhich National park for biking and beaching. Bought some snacks and gifts at the Saturday market just down the Point Prim road. Great cottage, great location, great holiday!
A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a beautiful location
We had an excellent stay at Brenda and Randy's cottage! Communication with them was excellent during the booking process and prior to our arrival. Randy answered our messages quickly and also provided several excellent suggestions for local businesses to visit. The cottage was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed and more! Note there is no wifi. Being on a screen was not a priority for us! Brenda met us upon arrival and gave us a tour and showed us where to find everything. Quality linens and towels were provided and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is fully functional with a nice shower. The cottage is about 40 minutes from Charlottetown and about an hour from Cavendish and Basin Head Beach. We were ok with not staying in a central location and needing to drive a bit more. It was completely worth it for the beautiful and peaceful location! There was no road noise or loud partying. Just peace and quiet. We enjoyed beachcombing right off the backyard and spent lots of time in the screened porch. It even has a fire table for the cooler evenings. When we return to PEI we'll stay here again! Thanks Brenda and Randy!
This was my first time to PEI and this house was perfect. It was quiet and a beautiful setting. Odd thing to comment on but the well water will be the freshest water you ever drink and your skin and hair will look amazing! Unfortunately, our trip got cut short because of Hurricane Fiona, but Randy and Brenda worked with us making sure we got off island safely and refunded us those nights. I would definitely stay here again!
We spent a glorious 7 nights at Randy and Brenda's property on the lovely Point Prim. The spacious and tasteful cottage was even better than we expected. The fans and the cool ocean breeze were enough to keep us comfortable on the hot days. If you want a quiet holiday that is away from it all to beachcomb, read, and watch the herons, this is the place to be. Randy and Brenda are such lovely people and we are certain to return as their guests again.
We moved to PEI 5 years ago after visiting family on the island for many, many years. Over that time, we have discovered many beautiful surprises on this picturesque Island, and many tourist secrets. We wanted to create great places for guests to come and experience what PEI has to offer. Great food, thriving Island culture, vast pristine beaches, scenic drives and warm hearts. We hope to welcome you to our homes...
