The kitchen was very well equipped. We had Chef Paul come in for a dinner and he cooked us an amazing meal worth every penny.The atmosphere of the village was peaceful and quiet. Beds comfortable.

A beautiful house, perfectly positioned in the Cotswolds. The beds were made up beautifully and we had plenty of information regarding local pubs and restaurants. A very thoughtful host who was very helpful and accepted our lovely dog as well. The house we very well maintained with very comfortable beds and a lovely kitchen, dining room and sitting room The garden is also very pretty and well maintained I recommend it highly.

The property is gorgeous and exactly what you want for the idyllic stay in the Cotswolds! Location was perfect for us and close by to a lot of the villages we wanted to visit. The kitchen and house in general is very well equipped especially in terms of the kitchen which in some properties can be very basic but Mary has thought of everything! Beds were really comfortable with quality pillows and duvets. We visited as a group of girls for a birthday celebration and was perfect for that, plenty of space, every room has a bathroom so getting ready as a group was easy and equally would be ideal for families. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend!

The cottage was wonderful and in the most beautiful village, Mary and Rachel were great hosts and we would definitely come back. My only suggestion would be to not make such a long check out process for guests, stripping all the beds and running and emptying the dishwasher is a bit much I think when you charge an 80 cleaning fee. Seems to be quite common post covid but I think it’s a real shame!

We enjoyed our stay at the Teachers House very much! Everyone had their own space and we gathered in the kitchen. We would have been happy to stay longer, if the schedule had allowed. The caretaker was particularly helpful and accessible!

Great place to stay

Teachers house is a great place to stay, it had all the facilities required for a family break. Cosy and warm with lots of Christmas decorations in the house. Would thoroughly recommend the property. Excellent communication beforehand and on the day of arrival.

Lovely Example of Villgeer Home

The house is an updated village home with modern amenities and historic charm. Everything was better than the photos. We stayed with our son’s family with two of our grandchildren.

The most perfect Cotswold retreat

We stayed with a group of friends. We were blown away by how beautiful and well equipped the house was. We loved every part of the house. Location perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommend The Red Lion at Long Compton.

The Teachers House was great, really spacious and and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with great quality utensils and had everything we needed and more!

Friends get together

The house was great for time spent chatting over meals outside and in. We saw a play at rsc and enjoyed a lovely visit to Stratford . We also enjoyed broadway.
