All was as expected. There were no issues and the house was as described. The location is by far the biggest plus of this property. It is quiet and somewhat secluded.

Our large family stayed at this property for a wedding. It was set up perfectly for our stay. The separate areas were perfect for all of us to be together or also have separate space if we wanted to. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and plenty of storage for everything we all brought with us. I would recommend this property for a large group, you won't be disappointed

Family Vacation

Very clean and well equipped home. Easy access to tourist locations in the area via Sturgis Rd. Very quiet and secluded neighborhood. Great home for families with children.

Close but secluded.

Close to Rapid City and Sturgis but the property itself felt secluded. Wild turkey and deer all day. Comfortable house that would have slept many families.

Lovely Setting!

This was a very private, quiet place with amazing views of the forest. The lockbox was very difficult to operate, but we eventually got in! We would definitely come back again!

50th Anniversary

This VRBO was great! Very clean and accommodating. We had my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration with about 18 people staying there. Would definitely recommend this rental and we hope to come back someday! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to gather for an event

We used this place to gather for my son’s graduation from college. It was enjoyed by all of us. The deck and the wildlife were a hit! We had 14 adults and 2 kids stay overnight and 20 for the celebration. We had ample space for everyone. The location was perfect! Thank you for the enjoyable stay.

70th Birthday Gathering

Sixteen people from the ages of 4 to 70 gathered from Montana, Minnesota and Georgia to share in the 70th birthday party for the families mother and grandmother. Blackhawk supplied the room for all of the age groups to get away from each other and also to all share in a wonderful party together. Accommodations were excellent in every way! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the bedrooms had comfortable beds as well! Time well spent at this great rental!

Clean & Well-Stocked!

We had a great time at this property. Everything was super and the only negative is the air conditioning. We happened to visit during very hot weather and without central air, it was uncomfortable on the main level. Bedrooms and the basement area were comfortable. And I'm sure it is just fine for most of the months during the year. Our hostess went above and beyond with great communication and even dropped by wine glasses, a wine-bottle opener and a great bottle of wine! Super kind. She was also very attentive with all communication.

Perfect!!

We had such a wonderful time staying here! Our whole family, parents kids and grands came up for a long weekend to attend my grandson's football game against a Rapid City team. The house was perfect for all ages. Enough room for everyone to have a bed, the kitchen was large large and well supplied, the karge dining table was great for meals together and fames. The outdoor seating was wonderful and the wildlife that came to visit often thro the day was entertaining. The youger grands were thrilled! Our only negatve comment was that there were sunflower seeds on the carpet and baseboard heat in the bedroom we stayed in and the sheets in my son's bedroom were noticeably stained with some creepy looking substance. Otherwise the housr was spotless. We were just so impressex with this house and the beauty surr4it, we hope to go there again!

Great family time together.

Positives ,, Made large group work, even used bunkhouse, kids enjoyed private space. Nice having large table for meals and games.Enjoyed seeing wildlife around every day. Kitchen well stocked with utensils. Enjoyed shaded patio areas.Grill worked greatMade best of it and really enjoyed our family time together.Not so positive.. AC was in bedrooms only. No AC in living area. Had to push cool air from bedrooms with box fans. Water leak in kitchen while there. Outside was messy with pine cone pieces on furniture and patio area.All remotes for electronics had batteries missing2 bedrooms very small, others very comfortable

Stunning Property

The drive up to the property and the property itself were gorgeous. The rustic touches throughout the house with the modern amenities was nice. Although the property sleeps a large group, there was only seating at the table for 6, I think. I do not recall for sure because we just had to start adjusting seating, immediately. My almost 80 y.o. FIL managed the amount of steps well, but almost slipped in the mid-level shower. My 28 y.o. niece was also leery of the shower, as she commented on the base being slick too. The upstairs tub was also slick, because my 5 y.o. granddaughter climbed in, with her Mom right there, and immediately slipped onto her back. Additionally, the way the steps are cut out and carpeted almost caused several falls from adults and children. When concerns about the stairs were mentioned to the property manager and that it should be in the listing, the response was only, "We bought the house 5 years ago. The steps are the same as when we bought it. This is the 1st comment on them." The expected response was, thank you, we will take it into consideration. Although stairs are not an issue, we would NOT have booked there if we had known about the funky stairs. As listed, there are ALOT of stairs or steps to navigate on the property, and not a single main floor bedroom.To return to the positive notes, the kitchen w/dishwasher, beds for everyone, and the wildlife! The wildlife was fantastic - deer, turkey, and a photogenic fox!!!

We had a large family group stay for an entire week amd it was great. There was plenty of kitchen stuff for us to cook the whole time. The area was quiet and peaceful. Wildlife in the front yard all day long. I highly recommend this house. The specific house host was easy to communicate with when we had questions as well.

Amazing

Extended family stayed for my daughters wedding at Generations Weddings & Events (3 miles to the east) ~ absolutely amazing and plenty of room. It was so convenient to be so close and the house had everything we needed and more. The hosts were very accommodating and kind to communicate with. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you.

Wonderful Home for a Family

This home was PERFECT for our extended family of 14! We loved the layout, ample bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, and the extra space in the garage was a great "man cave" for the High School boys in our family! :) The location was wonderful - very quiet and secluded, yet close enough to that you can easily drive to all of the amazing sites in the area. The home was very clean and a peaceful getaway for our family. Thank you for sharing your wonderful space with us!
