Hi Gary, It would have been advisable not to visit an area in an unprecedented once in 100 year disaster of cyclone and major floods. As disappointing as it must have been, the entire town was in the same situation of water cut off, electricity etc. and many in apartments even much worse. We had an army of people who had their own homes effected come and prepare our holiday home for your arrival over fixing their own. We were lucky that our cleaner held onto extra spare linen and towels as otherwise we wouldn't have even had those for you as no one can do laundry without tap water. Weather and the damages it may cause are unfortunately out of our control and let alone what happened to our area and still is happening to our area today as even weeks after your stay we have water issues and roads completely cut off. Communication does work both ways, we are sorry you're so unhappy about your stay but it does not reflect what a typical stay with us would be. We did also deliver water and what we could to the property during your stay. It is a bit hard to deliver more when shops were empty, washing machines didn’t work and roads were flooding. We would have been happy to give you a full refund if you decided not to come holiday in a disaster area or you could have rebooked new dates in better times. No one wants to cancel a holiday but they're quick to judge when it doesn't go their way. Again we are truly sorry cyclone hit the area and your stay was not the dream holiday you were wishing for and it would have definitely been otherwise. It was very unfortunate but not our fault.
