The Cosy Cat Cottage is a welcoming renovated cottage located in the heart of Mort Estate, Toowoomba. As one of the three original workers cottages listed on the heritage trail, the cottage retains all the details and ambiance of its heritage charm, whilst also providing guests with the luxury of modern amenities. We are pet friendly.

**** Pet Friendly Requirements ****

1. All pets must be pre-approved. Please include information about your pet in your booking request, advising breed, age etc. There is a $30 per dog/per stay fee.

2. We accept dogs and cats.

3. Pets are to be kept off all beds and furniture. Evidence of pets being on beds can have an impact on the guests damage deposit.

4. Pets must never be left alone inside the cottage. We have a secure, high fenced backyard and large outside deck.

5. Due to our gardens and neighbours we are unable to accept dogs who bark and/or dig consistently. Well behaved dogs are welcome!

Beautiful Cottage

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property . The hosts provided us with lovely treats including for our dog. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities were excellent.

Amazing!

The best dog friendly property I’ve ever stayed at - they’ve truly thought of everything. It was a huge relief having a safe (high fenced) yard for the dogs to stay in while we were out complete with dog beds and kennels and the treats left for the dogs were a lovely touch.We felt very at home while we were there - it was clean, cosy and well presented and we would definitely stay again.

A wonderful place to stay. Excellent.

Cleaniness is excellent and the house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, but close to all conveniences the City has to offer. Just first class in everyway. You won't be disappointed.

Clean, quiet, very comfortable. Everything you need on hand. Excellent cooking facilities, good butcher just around the corner. Secure parking, lovely shower, comfy bed.What you see on listing matches what you get.

Lovely place to stay. Close to the city shops. very quiet location and central for our needs. Very neat and tidy. Loved the loaf of bread and milk in the fridge. The kids loved the chocies, I loved the biscuits. Would stay there again.

Delightful and Indulgent

We had a lovely stay at The Cosy Cat Cottage with our elderly cat, Paddington. Michael and Janice are the most considerate, thoughtful and generous hosts. Everything was taken care of to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, from bathrobes to chocolates, fresh roses and much much more. The best accommodation we’ve stayed in for a long time. We’ll be back!

Excellent property, heaps of character - care for both you and your pets

A gorgeous cottage, beautifully renovated. Great kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need including huge stove. Outside was not one, but two dog kennels and a futon for them to sleep on while we were out on the deck. A wonderful place to spend Christmas, lots of extras to make you feel special. Terrific property and hosts

Heavenly Doggie cottage

Janice and Michael were incredible hosts, they thought about everything. So thoughtful, caring and accommodations. So many treats and everything you could dream for for the fur babies. Loving Restored Old Miners Cottage

The property was advertised accurately. Lovely restored cottage. With the little extras provided. The extras made us feel welcome and that we didn’t need much for the first few days. Beds were very comfortable and the fans helping sleep at night when it was hot. Thanks so much to Janice and Michael, they were the perfect hosts.

Cosy Cat is Outstanding

This property has lots of wonderful welcoming additions that you would not find in most accommodations. Biscuits, chocolates, pantry items, milk and butter, take home slippers for guests and treats for my dog too! The house is well equipped for both 2 legged and 4 legged guests and is comfortable, colourful, clean and cosy. I highly recommend The Cosy Cat cottage as the place to stay in Toowoomba!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

When we came across the humble cottage previously known as "Ivanhoe" by chance, it was love at first sight.
At the time, we weren't looking for a project and the cottage was not on the market. As fate would have it, a week later when the itch of curiosity got the better of us, we drove past the property again and there was an open house. We knew from the moment we opened the front door we would be signing a dotted line. Using Janice's skills as a hobby artist, Michael's skills as a painter and our shared obsession for creating a quality renovation, we set about bestowing some well overdue TLC on the humble cottage and making it a friendly home-away-from-home for others to enjoy. The focus of our cottage is not only about the quality detailing, but also on providing a warm and inviting stay for other who love their pets as much as we do. Whatever the reason for your stay, we are sure that our delightful cottage will weave its magic on you, just as it did on us.
