Beach Access Information – Village at Nags Head

All homes in the Village at Nags Head are located between Mileposts 14 and 15, with community beach access and a bathhouse available at approximately Milepost 14.5 (4329 South Va Dare Trail).

Parking passes are required to use the private beach access, and this home provides two parking permits for your stay. Guests staying in our oceanfront homes will enjoy direct beach access from the property and may not need to use the parking permits.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our overall experience was fine. The house has a number of maintenance issues (I sent in a list.) We looked past those so we could enjoy our trip. We would/ will rent the house again depending on how many of our family want to travel with us. Next years trip will be either week of August 11th or 18th.TBD.

Wonderful beach house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic time on vacation in this beach house. The house has beautiful views from the top floor. The location is great, it is close to so many stores and activities. The weather the week we were there was cold and wished the pool was heated but other than that the management was great. They came quickly to replace propane and checked in with us throughout the week to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The house was clean and we loved being right on the beach

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice place. Have stayed in much nicer places over the past 20 visits since 1986. This location needed some TLC. Updates are much needed. Outside and inside needed some work on making it more comfortable. Lower level was musty smelling. Overall outside deck and outside steps was very weathered and needed work.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The photos definitely portrayed the house in better condition than in reality. The AC did not work in one zone but we were offered a quick but temporary solution. The overall property condition seemed dated and worn. We did like the location. It's a 50/50 chance we'd stay at this property again.

Great from Sunrise to sunset

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 4 families, with 8 adults and 14 children. The house size and layout worked perfectly. Fantastic view from the upper deck. Very easy walk to beach. The pool and hot tub were a huge plus with children, and also with adults. Pool table on 2nd floor was used consistently by children. Also we grilled multiple times on gas grill. It helped to bring our own indoor games and to rent beach equipment. Only negatives: 3 dead roaches found in different spots; 1 garbage can missing a wheel so extremely unwieldy; a couple of rotting boards in outdoor shower; some young plant branches extended across front steps so we’re annoying but not unsafe. These were very minor in comparison with overall experience, however. Property Mgr very responsive to problem with a few lights when we first arrived, too.

Sunrise Surprise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a week here in July of 2023. We had a wonderful family vacation! Location, Location, Location. The property offers a pool and is on the beach and it accommodated all of us nicely.....however, there are some small things that would have made the stay even better...The pool area is in need of attention....Trying to keep the sand out of the pool is difficult because the area was such a mess and not well maintained. All the decks need to be sanded and stained or or simply replaced...( little feet got splinters) decks also had loose boards. The gas grill is practically rusted out and was FILTHY and out of propane, ( they did come the next day with propane when we called), We spent over an hour cleaning the grill in order to use it. it hasn’t been covered or maintained for a while. There is a charcoal grill, it is outside of the fenced area, and it is in very bad shape also ( we didn’t use it) The inside carpet is very stained and well past its time, floors instead of carpet at the beach house would be easier to maintain .Especially on the lower level, since there is no outside bathroom, and that area seemed musty. We loved the location and loved the beach/ pool. We watched dolphins off the deck almost every morning. The property is located near everything, and made for a great vacation! We enjoyed the Wrights museum, golfing, a delicious dinner at Miller’s..., saw the Bodie lighthouse, and Jeanettes pier, went out on a boat for a dolphin watch . All within short distance to the property. All and all, the vacation was excellent and the flaws of the home didn’t take away from it!

Added another service question on Thursday afternoon and never did get an answer before we left on Saturday morning regarding The cable box on 3rd floor no longer functioned at all.

It is a great time just reconnecting with each other without the daily distractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together despite the tropical storm. I would not rent this property again due to the narrow beach. We did not have a flat spot to spread our beach towels out on. May I also suggest that new cookware be purchased. Current pots and pans are pretty worn out!

Carpeting throughout the house was horribly stained & had an odor. 2 toilets were dirty when we arrived as the cleaning person was leaving. Need to replace stove - took forever to heat up. Many light switches but not labeled, so difficult to know what operated what. We thought toaster was not working, but it was actually a light switch issue. It controlled a number of outlets that we thought were non-functioning. Out side around the pool & the deck out near the beach was a number of pool/beach toys scattered about. Again, after the cleaning person had just been there. 1 of the basement bathrooms had a plugged up sink. Cornhole game supplied was not functional. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but with our frequent visits to this area that we love these are issues we feel could be improved for future stays.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was in a great location and beach realty is great to work with. However, we were a little displeased with the state of the house when we arrived. There were cigarette butts lying on the grounds, the vegetation was overgrown and unkept, some of the amenities in the house were clearly unattended to for quite some time. The house offers a wonderful view but could stand a good clean up for future guests.

Great House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location with easy access to the beach. Some minor issues at check in but Beach Realty fixed it within an hour. House was clean but carpet could use a cleaning. I would also suggest another refrigerator as having only one makes it difficult with 10 guests in the house. Make sure you bring your own game’s for family game night as you there were not many in home. Also surprised no books, buy hey everyones different. Family had a great time. House is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood close to many attractions, shops, restaurants. Overall nice home and would definitely recommend staying here.
