À propos de cet hébergement
Pinecone Lodge-Adventure|Hot Tub|Privacy|10-Acres
This modern “Yurt house” is 5 min from Lake Gregory and is surrounded by forest majestic views on 10 acres. It’s your private forest playground. Hike on the trail from the house 1/2 mile into the forest and then continue to a smaller trail that goes for miles. The views and sunsets are amazing not to mention the wildlife you may see. Relax with a glass of wine, soak in the hot tub while gazing at the stars and see the beauty of the night sky. Built in 2012, everything is new and has windows, windows, and more windows, with the forest just on the other side. The open-concept design vhigh ceilings give it a grand feel and the wood-burning stove gives it a rustic vibe. There are a few different outside spaces to relax and have coffee, or a glass of wine and be one with nature. Note: There are 2 single pull-out ottoman beds in the living room along with a futon (not shown). Guests have access to the entire property and can explore the National Forest area as well. We are here if you need us. The property is named Pinecone Lodge at Falcon Ridge because these are the largest pine cones in the world that can be found here! and standing on the edge of the ridge you will see the falcons soaring high above. Located just 5 minutes from Lake Gregory, this property is on the edge of the National Forest with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and forest, yet 5-10 minutes from downtown Crestline. It’s the perfect combination of seclusion and great access when you want to go out for dinner, to the grocery store, walk around the lake, or enjoy Lake Gregory’s activities. Just 5 minutes away is the Refresh yoga studio and 3 minutes away is Sycamore Ranch Vineyard and Winery (the local family-owned winery - plan with reservations). There is also a jeep trail nearby that will take you the back way to Silverwood Lake (14 miles). A car or bike is a great way to get around. If biking, there are hills! We have added a futon in the living room for another sleeping option. Up to 2 dogs are welcome. About the Area: Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory, and Big Bear Lake are recreational lakes in the Southern California San Bernardino mountains. They offer fresh crisp air, cooler weather (10-15 degrees) in the summer, and snow in the winter. They also offer a more relaxed and low-key energy “vibe” making them ideal locations for getaways to renew the mind, spirit, and body and to reconnect with family and friends. We answer frequent questions regarding the lakes and have put together some information below on what makes each location unique so it is easier to match with your specific goals for your time away. Upon booking one of our properties, you will receive more detailed information on how you can spend your time in the area. Big Bear Lake is a public lake and friendly to all types of boats and water sports and is the largest lake of the three. There is a short paved bike and walking trail that goes along the lake. Big Bear is a City and is more populated with stores, restaurants, and nightlife than the other two locations. It has more of a “desert” feel in terms of its topography. Big Bear is 26 miles up the mountain from Lake Arrowhead, Although none of our properties are in Big Bear, we recommend it for a day trip. Lake Arrowhead is a private lake & is accessible to guests staying at properties with lake rights if the owners have permitted guests to use their ALA (Arrowhead Lake Association) passes. If this is the case, the Amenity “lake access” will be checked on the listing. In our list of properties, the Gingerbread Cottage is providing lake access. With lake access, specifically, the lake trail is accessible. There is a $10 per person per day fee that is required to be paid to receive a wristband for access. More information can be found on the ALA website. Swimming is allowed from the lake trail at any location except the beach clubs (these are restricted to owners). There is no ability to launch boats or SUPs on the lake. The Village is lakefront and is the main area for shops and restaurants and has a fitness center as well. The Queen boat is a tour boat on Lake Arrowhead that provides much of the history of the town - tickets can be purchased at the shop by the lake. There is a local company that offers water skiing lessons boat tours and rentals. This area has more of a small town and alpine feel to it. The Villas area (south side of the lake) in Lake Arrowhead is cooler and gets more snow that lasts longer than the north side of the lake which gets more sun in the winter and is hotter in the summer. The Villas area is an older area with older homes and narrower streets. The Tudor House is an event center offering Sunday brunch and a variety of events. Skypark is a local attraction as well as Snow Valley for skiing for both Lake Arrowhead and Lake Gregory. Lake Arrowhead is 15 minutes up the mountain from Lake Gregory. Lake Gregory is a public lake in the town of Crestline, a small town about 20 minutes from the base of the mountain of San Bernardino. It is the closest mountain town to events and locations “down the hill”. In the past few years, the lake operations have become privately managed with significant improvements being done at the lake including the development of a water park, beach improvements, and boat, kayak, and canoe rentals. There is a fee to access the beach area and the water park and no fee to access the 2 1/2 mile trail around the lake. Fishing is allowed and more info can be found on the Lake Gregory website. Crestline has a small-town alpine feel with the lake nestled amongst the tall trees. Crestline gets less snow than the other 2 lake locations. The quaint town has restaurants, coffee shops, and thrift stores. Twin Peaks/Blue Jay sits in between Crestline and Lake Arrowhead and is convenient to both lakes. It has its restaurants, shops, and thrift stores. It is famous for its outdoor farmer’s market on Thursday afternoons (seasonal). The age minimum is 25 (families with kids welcome).
To make it more affordable for smaller groups, an extra guest fee of $15 per guest per night applies after 2 people.
4WD and chains are required in the event of snow in the winter
A BBQ is provided at the house, however, please be aware that we do not refill propane. We will reimburse you if you need to fill the propane. If you will arrive late, local stores may be closed or if it`s a holiday may run out of propane so it is advised to bring your own propane tank. if you plan to use the BBQ on the day of arrival.

The quiet paradise.
Extremely comfortable house with everything that you need. So quiet that the only thing you hear is the wind, birds, and far away neighbor's rooster. You definitely can NOT access this property with a low sitting sports car, but during the summer any other vehicle is OK.

Peaceful Getaway
My wife and I stayed here and loved it! It was so peaceful and quiet in a secluded area. The house had everything we needed including AC which was awesome on a hot summer day, especially after a good hike. The hot tub/deck area is a nice feature with a great view, and a great place to hang out in the evening. If there is 1 thing I would change, it is the outdoor security lights at night shining on the hot tub/ deck area - the lights are on constantly and are bright - it takes away from star-gazing on a clear night. Maybe motion sensor lights or something (?). Overall this place is awesome and we would love to stay there again someday.

Very secluded and lovely spot
This house feels completely off the grid, as you can't even see any of the neighbors, so it feels like you're all alone there. It's a lovely house with a well-stocked kitchen, nice hot tub with an incredible view, and lots of room for the dog to run around. Reliable internet and power and an overall great spot if you want to just get away.Communication was a little wonky. Messages came from several different people and at least one was an AI bot, I think? Pet fee is charged per night (which doesn't make sense to me) and quite high, but discounted to normal price if you post pics to Instagram (bummer if you have a private Insta?). That we had to pay extra to check in one hour early didn't feel particularly friendly.

The adorable place. Made with love and care.
You feel cared for every single minute you stay here. Even since you booked this house. The messages from the team and host gently lead you from the very beginning. You’re not going to be lost. The detailed route information, the online and paper instructions on how to use anything in the house. For our family, it was so important. The place itself is amazing!Such an astonishing view from the terrace where you can relax in the hot tub. Sunbathing, barbequing, and having dinner in the open air are options too. The interior of the house is gorgeous! Created by one with very good taste, and definitely with love. My favorite place is a wood stove zone. It’s cozy, warm, and relaxing. The kitchen and other rooms are top-notch! We could find everything we need. They are so beautiful and cozy. You can tell everything was made with love and care. We will definitely rent this place again.

Family trip
Cozy and peaceful. Our family had a relaxing time taking in nature and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Our dogs enjoyed themselves too.The dogs next door did visit often as they were off leash. Unfortunately the entire family contracted Pseudomonas a bacterial infection from the jacuzzi. We have reached out to inform management and have yet to recieve a response. So we are all now on antibiotic prescriptions. A bit disappointing to say the least.

Unable to access property-private driveway is not plowed!
We were as prepared as possible, arrived in a 4x4 Tacoma, with snow cables as it was snowing on our arrival day. We found that the very long private driveway is not maintained. It’s a very long uphill dirt road. Even with the 4x4, the snow and mud were too much and we only made it a very short distance up before getting stuck and then started sliding toward some rocks. Fortunately we were able to back down the drive, to the roadway.A neighbor cautioned us about continuing up the drive as other guests have become stuck before. Hosts offered a 50% refund but stopped communicating with us when we requested a full refund. Completely understand weather being a factor, but there is no information given about the condition of the private driveway, and I don’t think they should rent this place when the conditions are like this. That drive is not safe in heavy snow/wet conditions!

Nice get away !!
Super cute and clean house- looks updated and new inside too. The hot tub was our favorite part, we spent most of the night inside the hot tub. The communication was awesome, and wifi works great. There’s also a little fire place in the house which was perfect for when we got out of the hot tub- it warmed us up perfectly. The ONLY negative I will mention is that the neighbors have 2 or 3 large dogs that do wonder onto the property.. usually this would be no big deal! I love dogs, but I brought my 2 dogs with us this trip and they are not dog friendly- this added a big stressor for me when I was hoping not to have to worry . I did have my dogs on long leashes but I was worried the other dogs would approach mine. I am writing this to give the next dog owners and heads up and not to complain- still giving 5 stars because we did love it.

The home and location were beautiful!
Let me first say, I have been using this site and App for over 15 years to book my vacation rentals.
This was the ROCKIEST experience I have ever had property management company.
I’ll start with the great stuff. The home was super clean and well stocked. It is 15 minute drive to town and is not walking distance to anything except some of the cool trails.
The check in process was sort of a joke. The email they send ahead of time is not specific about check in instructions. There was no one to greet us or give us the code to get in the front door. Check in time is 4:00, which is when we arrived and called the property manager for 30 mins trying to get the code. They apologized but said they had to make sure our damage deposit went through, even though we had already spoke to one of the team members earlier that morning and was charged TWICE for damage deposit. This property management company has poor communication with the renters and within the team.
We waited in the sun for 45 minutes with our two Senior dogs for their response. They finally responded with the code and we were able to get in and get settled. Since this is a very remote area, they said they did have WI-FI but it didn’t work the entire time we were there. We downloaded movies ahead of time to watch later with the chrome cast tv and even then was constantly buffering.
My advice, if you’re local, bring a Blu-ray player and some movies. Luckily we had games and coloring books.
This property manager will nickel & dime you. I have never dealt with such bad communication as far as pricing goes. The listing states a pet fee. So I figured each pet. But the listing should state, the pet fee per Pet PER NIGHT. they did honor it and let me do BOGO on the pet fee.
We enjoyed our stay and it was peaceful and relaxing. We wanted to get away from the firework noise of the city for our senior dogs.
With that said, we check out at 10 AM and left the home as clean as we arrived. When we got home, I noticed the TWO charges still in my bank account. I tried to contact the property manager and no one responded back. I had to contact VRBO to get some sort of resolution on this overcharge. They contacted the owner, who emailed me back to say there wasn’t a double charge on their end. They emailed me to say I had gotten some dog hair on one of the beds. they asked me to pay an $$ for pet hair!On top of the huge cleaning fee!
I will NEVER rent from THEM AGAIN!

Perfect Secluded Getaway
The property is very secluded, but well maintained. Very unique and peaceful experience. Beautiful deck with a hot tub and grill. Highly recommend staying here. Just be prepared for some windy mountain roads and a bit of dirt road at the end, but it was absolutely worth the journey.
