Woodland cabin

Disappointing. We arrived after dark in a snowstorm. Roads poorly marked and in terrible condition. Several inches of snow on deck so had to stay inside. Several things were not working. The toilets ran constantly. Neither coffee pot worked. Knob on stove broken. Bottom drawer in stove wouldn’t open. Lamp in upstairs sbedroom wouldn’t work. Fireplace wouldn’t come on. No directions for television were available so couldn’t get anything except pay for view.

Ski trip

The house is a great alternative to staying at the resort if you are looking to save a little. We had a large group and we did not feel cramped, overall we were very comfortable. Only negative was that we could not get the fireplace going, and I could not get an answer from the manager as to what to try.

Really enjoyed stay. The property has beautiful views and the floor plan was accommodating. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

This home is close to purgatory for snowboarding and is not a far drive to DT Durango. The roads were well maintained.

Nice location but not too tidy

Great location and beautiful setting, however, there were quite a few things off. When we arrived the freezer was packed with food, and one item had leaked all over everything, which we had to clean up. A lot of food items were also left in the fridge. We had to rearrange just to fit our small amount of food in. There were dirty towels in the washing machine, towels in the dryer, and a pile of towels and sheets on the laundry room floor. Not exactly what you want to walk into paying this price per night. In general, a lot of personal items left around, assuming by the owners- shampoo in the shower, medicine in the bathroom drawers, food, etc. There was a good amount of dog hair around the couch, carpet, etc. Not too clean at all. Kind of makes you think you just walked into someone else's actual home, and not on vacation.

Great Location/Horrible Wifi

The house itself was great and only 2 miles to Purgatory was super convenient. Plenty of space for our group as well. However, a couple issues that we had. 1) The WiFi only “worked”(less than 10mbps) in the kitchen/dining area. So we couldn’t use the projector or TVs in the living room/downstairs as it couldn’t connect. We reached out to the guest contact who said they would address it, but it never got better at any point of our stay. So just a heads up that if you plan to WFH, you might want to look for somewhere with more reliable WiFi. 2) There was lots of leftover food in the freezer, random items in the fridge, and overall just lots of personal items in the home that made it feel like we were in someone else’s space. Everyone had to keep asking ”did we buy this/is this our food?” 3) The porch/patio doesn’t seem to be shoveled/maintained in the winter so you can’t enjoy being out on it or grilling even when you get a nice sunny day unless you wanted to shovel it all yourself. Might be common with mountain homes in Winter? Overall, the house is great for ski trips and disconnecting from cell service/technology but would have preferred better WiFi so we could have used the other rooms to hang out in and less leftover food in the place.

Summer Vacation

Great location, plenty of room, large deck. Only issue was in communication with property manager. Specifically asked about propane prior to our arrival. Tanks were empty so I called, left a message, propane showed up two days late and never received a return phone call. Code for trash area was incorrect, a neighbor gave us the code. No instructions on how to use tv - turned out we had to buy batteries for the remotes. Overall, these issues were minor and we enjoyed our stay - would rent this property again.

Colorado paradise

The property was exactly as advertised. Located north of Durango and south of Silverton. Also a relatively short distance from Ouray. Homes elevation was approximately 9000 ft and in an upscale neighborhood in the mountains. 5 adults and 4 kids were very comfortable. No air conditioning, but night time temps made it comfortable. Although we didn’t watch TV WE wish their would have been instructions on how to use it. Overall 5 star experience.

Great House

We loved our stay at this cabin! The drive up makes it feel secluded and it was comfortable and nice. The beds were comfy and it accommodated all of us. The patio with the string lights was perfect except for the mosquitos. Not sure why there were so many but other than that it was terrific!

Beautiful Cabin centrally located between Durango and Silverton

This cabin is beautifully designed and furnished. We had everything we needed to relax and prepare meals. The deck is a wonderful place to hang out. We did have to clean a bit to be comfortable. We noticed pet hair on our clothes and found that it was on the furniture and the floors. This is probably not a big deal to people that have pets indoors in their own homes. To be fair, the listing did say that it was pet friendly, so I should have assumed that the owners have indoor pets. I think we will just avoid homes that are pet friendly in the future.

Celebrating a Milestone

Lovely property. Lots of space for family and friends to chat and enjoy our dogs. Outside deck was the best! Had a fire pit- didn’t get a chance to use it. Would suggest bring camp chairs to sit around the fire pit. Kitchen well stocked with pans and a sundry cooking needs. Loved it! Good memories were made.

Great place in the mountains

This place is just as described. If you need four rooms and like getting away from everyone else, this is the place you should visit. When there is snow just make sure your vehicle is capable and you will have the time of your life. Would recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting

I was a little concerned that there were no reviews of this house, but because it was a new listing, went ahead and booked anyway. So glad I did! The home is nicely furnished, kitchen fully stocked, and super clean. It's located in a wooded neighborhood of mountain homes providing privacy. Right near Purgatory ski area and lots of hiking trails. Spectacular!
