Big Cozy Cabin

We had a great weekend getaway to the “Birdhouse”. Fully enjoyed our stay! Clean, cozy and stocked with everything you need! Beds were comfortable! Amenities were great. Hot tub and Fire pit were a great way to relax at the end of the day!

Amazing Get Away

This was the perfect place to get away and celebrate thanksgiving with the family. The view is breathtaking, it was so cozy and the hot tub was definitely a plus! Can’t wait to do again

Weekend in a cabin

My friends and I booked this for a short weekend trip in the mountains. It was absolutely stunning and the place was amazing! Incredible host, we loved the smores care package that was left for us. The hot tub was so relaxing and we saw so many deer! Cozy cabin with plenty of space for us (6 adults). Definitely would come back!

There property needed a huge upgrade. It was ok. Kitchen could be redone. Counter tops need a redo.

Oven needs to be trashed. Everything was subpar. There was nothing special about the property. I feel it was over priced and not up to higher standards. I will not be returning.....

The owner has a comment to share: I’m surprised that you didn’t enjoy the many resort amenities, nature, and hot tub, especially since you are the first person to stay since it was remodeled. Most of the fixtures and other things are new and everything functions well and is clean. The price was determined by an algorithm that takes into account the holiday weekend, demand (which is the highest in history), amenities, size, location, etc., so I apologize if you weren’t prepared by looking at the photos that were taken just prior to your stay. Perfect place!

We had a great time at the house and the neighborhood! The house had everyone we needed, and my kids really enjoyed the air hockey, play set and game room at the Rec Center. It was the perfect location for us to easily explore the area.

One not to miss

Nice to have such a clean rental. Kitchen was loaded which made for easy meal prep.. The ping-pong and air hockey along with all the deer kept the kids entertained. Hot tub was to much fun along with smores on the fire pit. Will make this place a must return to for a longer stay.

A great getaway!

Our family recently stayed at this resort. It was clean & well maintained. We had a great time! The kitchen has new appliances. There is a great fire pit for outside, and oh my god, all the deer. The kids loved the ping pong table, and the family used the hot tub nightly. Our weekend was spent relaxing, hiking, cooking s’mores, and enjoying each other’s company. Highly recommended.

Great Place for Girl's Weekend or Family Time

This mountain house is the perfect getaway from Atlanta for a Girl's Weekend! It is extremely clean, very spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, if you choose to stay in. One night, my girlfriends and I cooked dinner, ate smores by the firepit and then enjoyed the hot tub. There's plenty of restaurants, shops and wineries nearby too! I will definitely bring my family next time to enjoy this beautiful resort and the other amenities this house provides such as ping pong and air hockey. Oh, I can not forget to mention the deer grazing in the yard! Until next time...

Great Mountain Cabin!

My wife and I had a terrific stay at this beautiful Ellijay mountain cabin! The accommodations were excellent and the scenery to die for. I've never seen so many deer before! We enjoyed some great food in town and sipped some nice wine at a nearby winery. After that "hard work," a nice dip in the hot tub was wonderful! We look forward to returning again soon!

Winging it at "Bird House"

My family really enjoyed our recent stay at Bird House. It was everything we were looking for in a family getaway. The house is very clean. It's evident right away that the owners have taken great care to cater to those seeking a break from their daily routine. The house was great, nice design, spacious, comfortable beds. We enjoyed the kitchen and ate most meals in-house. We used all the amenities. The kids played hours of ping-pong and air hockey. My wife relaxed with a glass of wine and finished her book. A late afternoon family gathering in the hottub was the ideal way to ease into the evening. There is much to do in the area. We spent hours at Mercier Farms. The next day we ventured to a local winery. We took some beautiful family photos with the mountains in the background. The last night we made smores by the firepit. The next morning "Bambi" and her family were roaming through the yard. The kids were so excited. We enjoyed our visit very much. In fact, we are hoping to return in February. Thank you Bird House.
