Thanks for accommodating us

I really appreciate the managers being able to accommodate the early arrival of my best friend prior to my arrival. The quiet neighborhood and closeness to Old Colorado City made for a great walk. I spent several hours over the few days I was there, hanging out on the porch.

We had a fabulous stay. The owner was fast to respond to our messages, friendly and very accommodating. The house is close to shops, activities, and Old Colorado City. The house is so cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The back patio is adorable. We enjoyed the roses and other flowers. It was a bonus to have a driveway to park in after a long day/evening of sightseeing!I would most definitely recommend staying at Old Colorado Coty Gem.

Trip with granddaughter

It was nice to stay here because there were two bedrooms so we could have one room and 13 yr old granddaughter have the other. Great location for all of the fun things to do in and around Colorado Springs.

Clean, wonderful place

This updated house had everything we needed in it. The house was clean and cozy. Check in and out was easy and John and Beth helped answer questions we had about nearby grocery stores and restaurants. So close to all the places we wanted to visit! Would totally stay here again!

Close to area attractions

This house is located near many of the areas attractions - Pikes Peak, Manitou Cliff Dwellers, and Garden of the Gods, to name a few. Nice older home, but only one bathroom. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Our Colorado Trip.

Our stay was lovely in Old Colorado Springs. Great location, close to nearly everything. The house is a lovely 2 bedroom 1 great bathroom. Backyard is great for Barbecues. Hopefully we can return to your house the next time we come out.

Perfect location, great house and area!

Great neighborhood! Just a couple of blocks to downtown Old Colorado City with fantastic stores and restaurants. We lucked out and they were having a farmers market - great food and craft vendors. Perfect for going to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. House was clean and unique. Thank you!

Great house and location!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was cute, clean and well stocked. Great location. It was perfect for everything we were doing (within 15 minutes of virtually everything) and a very short walk to so many things in Old Colorado City. It has an awesome front porch. We spent a lot of time enjoying it in the early mornings and evenings. Beth & John communicated well with us while we were there. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful old home

Our little ShihTzu dog was confused the first night by the familiar command "Go potty" and xeroscaped backyard (no grass), but figured it out by the second go around. Lovely home; will look to stay there again as we had not enough time in Colorado Springs!

Very clean and within walking distance to old downtown. Cute house in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Overall we enjoyed our stay with only 1 complaint. The beds were not very comfortable. Otherwise we had everything we needed and we would probably stay here again. Owners were easy to communicate with and we were close to all attractions. The house was a nice find.

Comfortable space

Our stay at the house was very enjoyable. We had a couple of small issues when we arrived. We contacted the host and they were taken care of the next day. We liked the house and the neighborhood was quiet. We would stay again.

Could have been better

Kitchen could use a good deep cleaning. Mattresses not comfortable. Furniture seemed really dirty. House has an unpleasant odor. AC was awesome. Washer/dryer very nice.

Comfy logding and amazing view from front porch

Property was room and comfortable for only being about 1000sqft. Fully equipped kitchen. View from the front porch was amazing! Proximity to Old Colorado City downtown is super convenient, I was even close enough to walk to the grocery store. The only thing I would recommend is bringing extra towels. Towels provided needed to be bleached as they smelled a little musty.

“Gem” is the word for this jewel of a property!

We were fortunate enough to get to spend four months in this house, and we would gladly have stayed another four months! Everything about this property is 5-star: the beds are incredibly comfortable; the kitchen has everything you need; the tv is huge; the dining room is a great gathering spot; the layout is super comfortable. The neighborhood is the best for enjoying all that Old Colorado City offers — it’s a short walk to Bancroft Park, yet it’s very quiet and peaceful at the house. Our dog loved the yard. The hosts are fabulous— very responsive and super pleasant to deal with. There was literally nothing not to love about this house. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else if we come back to the Springs!

John and his wife Beth live locally in Colorado Springs and are usually very accessible - their business and personal home are located close-by! They are both avid runners, cyclists and mountain bikers and have 2 German Shepherds and 2 tiny human kids they love to hike with. John and Beth love the Colorado Springs area and all it has to offer - don't hesitate to ask them for recommendations for restaurants, sights to see, hiking trails and more. They take pride in their 3 vacation rental properties and providing all their guests with a 5-star hosting experience.

We love Old Colorado City! We live here, play here, and want to share it with anyone who can appreciate a historic area along with close access to many beautiful parks, trails, mountains, art, and community.

Guests have access to the entire home except our locked storage/basement area. The detached garage in the rear of the home is used for private personal storage and is currently leased to another tenant separately.
