Situated in Egmont Village, only a ten-minute drive from New Plymouth, and just a short drive to Egmont National Park, where you can take in the majestic Mt Taranaki. The NPL Mountain Bikers club at Lake Mangamhoe is just a few minutes away, allowing you to ride your bike there and experience some of the greatest mountain bike rides in Taranaki.

Amazing house in a fantastic location with easy drive to all activities and city centre. Such a great setting with views and sounds of the river. House was perfect - clean, well laid out and very warm. We loved this property and look forward to staying here again.

Home well presented, clean and inviting. Firewood ready to go and lots of other nice touches. We enjoyed the two living spaces and lots of area to relax. A very special location with the stream at the bottom of the lawn. This is our 5th year of booking places for our annual friends catch up and the best yet.

Even better than expected

Amazing property, from the outlook over a stream to the views of Mt Taranaki. Property was very clean, well equipt, peaceful and only 10 mins drive to the centre of town. Would have loved to stay longer!

Lived up to it's name.

Serenity Lodge lived up to its name and gave our three generational family a holiday we all treasured. Yes, it was immaculate, large and provided thoroughly modern kitchen, bathrooms and many other amenities. However, some of our fondest memories involved deck time with grandchildren while they shared their adventures, taking in the view of the mountain and making the most of the beautiful stream at the bottom of the property. This was definitely the ‘babbling brook’ to lull you to sleep, provide boulders for children to clamber over, a small swimming space and a selection of rocks which on examination illustrated the volcanic nature of the New Plymouth area. A beautiful property.

Lovely with the sound of rolling water from the little river and lovely views of the mountain. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The only down side was the lack of serving dishes (one) as we ate at home every night. There were a few platters though. Also the beds were very small. I’d obviously forgotten just how small a queen bed is. A shame as there was plenty of room for bigger beds. It does say Queen though, so I guess I shouldn’t moan. Overall amazing place though.
