The Lake Cottage

The property is beautiful and private and the owner is an absolutely delight. It's a little unique but every day we stayed there we fell in love with it more. Sitting on the back porch, looking at the pool, the palm trees and bamboo was reminiscent of being in puerto rico

We spent 6 nights here and enjoyed our stay! We really enjoyed the pool after a hot day out. The house has been renovated but it’s got some wear and tear. We really loved the neighborhood and rode our bikes to the lake several times. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. We would stay again.

Great Place - Enjoyed!!!

Great place with a lot of character. We brought our Lab - Winston and he really enjoy playing fetch and going for walks. The neighborhood is very quiet and we enjoyed walking to St. Cloud old downtown. Great restaurants and service. The host is a great person and called us as soon as we checked in to make sure everything was good to go. It was and we had a wonderful time!

Would Stay Again!

The house was very nice and clean. The communication with the property manager was very easy and whenever I had a question she answered. I also liked how she kept my friends and I in the loop about a power outage. I would definitely rent this house again.

Family visit

The place worked out great, but the upstairs bedrooms are hard to get to. The spiral stairs have poor railings and the stairs to the loft are hard to use. The owner was friendly, helpful and a joy to work with. The place was clean, but could use a deep cleaning to really sparkle. Location was great.

The property was cute with a lot of personality and as described. I enjoyed the thought of the floating stairs until I had to go up and down them. They are a little scary. More so for younger guests. My family had a good time but offered some feed back to pass along. We didn't use the pool as the water was below the skimmer which means the pool water was not circulating and had some debris in it. The owner is very responsive and did provide a reason as to why the level was below. There wasn't enough toilet tissue for the amount of guests / days we stayed. And the pool patio furniture was dirty. Perhaps the cushions need to be replaced or properly stored inside the house. The glass doors to the shower wasn't wiped down so there was water marks from the previous renters and there was trash left in the bathroom garbage.

Okay

Easy communication with host, however disappointed that the property doesn’t supply any soap, even though it stated in the description that it does. I picked this place because it has a pool, however it was not cleaned until Thursday, the day before we left, despite it stating it is cleaned every Tuesday. I received a message from the host that she would give a discount due to the above statements but haven’t received that.

Dirty

Upon arrival to Orlando I received a message from the owner giving check in details and was asked if I would like early check in. I responded by saying that would be great if possible. She later stated that the house was dirty because they had to clean it quickly for early check in. As soon as I got to the front door I noticed spider webs, dust and dirt. I walked in to find and older home that had been remodeled. Not a problem for me since I live in an older remodeled home. However this was not a proper remodel. They painted over the guest bathroom tile including the tile in the shower. It is chipping off everywhere and looks awful. There was mildew in the shower as well. The toilets had a light brown ring where they had not been cleaned in some time. All of the baseboards and doors are filthy. The stove top was covered in grime that naturally occurs when cooking however no attempt was made to clean it. It looked much better after a simple wipe down with a wet paper towel. The couch and chair in the living room were both stained and had little fabric balls all over them. I never even sat on them. The master bed sheets had fabric balls really bad and felt like sleeping on sandpaper. All of the faucets and sinks were dirty. The outside furniture was the same as the inside with stains and dirt. The covered patio was full of spider webs and dirt like the front doorway. The pool was not very well maintained. This home has potential to be great if taken care of properly. I did not reach out to the owner during my stay because we only had 3 nights and were in town for our child’s sporting event. We were on the go and only went to the home to sleep and shower (all 5 of us had to use the master shower). I didn’t want to risk being without a place to stay. I did express my thoughts to the owner after our checkout and was told that they could have cleaned or brought new sheets if I had let them know. I responded by letting them know that this home could not have been made suitable in a short amount of time. I would not recommend this VRBO to anyone further more I am very reluctant to use VRBO for accommodations in future travel.

We were not notified of any concerns while you were in residence. We are quick to respond and invite guests to contact us with any questions or concerns during their stay. It is our pleasure to help in any way that we can. We gladly would have sent the cleaning crew back to address any concerns right away. -The home has been freshly remodeled and is well-kept. The house was built in 1910 so some wear and tear would not be surprising; however, we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We want every guest to have a great experience, and if something's not as expected we'll do our best to remedy it. We pride ourselves on giving people a wonderful experience and are happy that the vast majority of reviews from guests reflect this as their experience. Definitely a great stay!!

We had such a great time booking this property!! The house is gorgeous and was such a wonderful stay! Kids definitely loved every minute of it. Property manager was very friendly and communicated well. Check in was super easy. Location is close to everything, and was 10 minutes from my parents who we came down to visit. Would definitely book again!! Thank you so much for our stay!

Long term stay

We relocated to the area and stayed here a month while we transitioned. I love the setup and decor of this home. There were some outdated appliances and few hiccups but every concern was immediately addressed. The owner was amazing at communicating and again addressing any concern we had. The neighborhood is convenient to everything and has great walking streets, and near the lake! Highly recommend!!!

Cute house, great host

This was our first family trip to Florida and we wanted a place to stay that wasn't crowded and allowed us to relax as a family. This cute little home was perfect for our needs. We were able to make a lot of our meals, and having a washer and dryer is so helpful. The kids loved the game room and their loft bedroom (watch your head, grownups!), we all enjoyed the pool area, and the neighborhood was adorable. We liked seeing people of all ages riding their scooters or golf carts to the historic downtown area or the lake. We had a good dinner at Phyre and got some local honey at 3Beez. It was an easy drive <60 min to the space coast, and a little longer (but still doable) drive to the Gulf coast. The commute to DisneyWorld is about the same as my commute to work, so it seemed easy. Gladis was responsive and easy to work with. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing vacation house with its own pool! Host is on top of everything and is amazing!

This rental is charming, fun and relaxing! There were a few little things we mentioned but. O thing that would keep us from coming back! House and Host was welcoming and friendly! Loves the wildlife and the town! Close to everything needed!
