Sea Star Villa is a spacious side-by-side duplex located just 25 yards from the ocean, offering the perfect setting for a laid-back coastal escape. Designed with comfort in mind, this 2-bedroom retreat accommodates up to 6 guests.

The upper living level features a bright, open-concept layout with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living area, dining space for gathering, and a convenient half bath that opens to an oceanside deck. The layout allows everyone to stay connected while enjoying time together.

Sleeping arrangements include a king master suite with a private bath and a queen bedroom that opens directly to a deck and shares a bath with hallway bunks. Guests have access to resort-style amenities, including a pool and spa, fish cleaning stations, private under-house entry, private parking, and outdoor hot and cold showers. Sea Star Villa is the ideal home base for your Hatteras Island getaway.

The facility located in Buxton is strategically located to enjoy any and all beach associated activities. What a view!! Very clean. Only minor issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon entering the unit, it was very clean and inviting. The sand from the recent storm was everywhere on the outside but NOT anywhere inside. The hose in the open garage was very helpful to get the salt off the car after each night. Delightful views of the Atlantic from both levels. Upstairs portion is cozy and comfortable with the kitchen so handy. Many TV channels are offered as well. The a/c worked fine. Minor negatives - There was a hole in one of the bathroom doors (it is on schedule to get replaced eventually). Some of the double paned windows are 'blurry' (seal compromised) and need to be replaced. Both levels had very difficult door knobs/locks to operate to get to the balconies. The bottom level knob broke completely at the end of our stay and reported to the front staff. Overall a delightful week and we lucked out with superb weather. We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary with this week and would enjoy doing it for another.

Can't beat the location and price. Friendly staff. The only downside is the loss of the pool to the back of the property. We no longer use it as it's location takes away from the beachy feel we like.

Parking in 234's garage was sometimes difficult or impossible due to too many vehicles parked in rear of main building. Pick ups should not park there and blocking the walkway at rear of main building should not be permitted. A sign may help as well as removing some of the sand in front of 232 & 234 would help, too. Beach was beautiful and amenities were great.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great. The unit was very musty. The carpet needs a good cleaning. The microwave was hit or miss (sometimes it would work). The light above sink is broken. Because of the mustiness we had to give my 1 year old grandson nebulizer treatments.Chains missing on most of ceiling fans.I would not recommend this property to a friend because of the above problems.

The laundry service was not the greatest....2 regular sized washing machines could only be used amongst all of the units during a small timeframe and you had to exchange your linens out during a small timeframe as well. The closest laundry facility was an hour if you plan on doing laundry on a regular basis and want clean linens (towels for example) you need to plan accordingly. Also, one of the bedrooms was missing a tv.

The beach was almost on my doorstep and the pool was very close by. Everything one would need to enjoy our vacation was within easy access and readily available. Can't wait to return next year for another joyful two weeks.

Have been renting same duplex for years, and it is beginning to look pretty run down, though. Hasn't been updated, and could really use it! Dishwasher needs to be replaced. Air conditioning works ok, but there's a musty, mildewy smell coming from the ac vents. Furniture is old and worn. Bed spreads are the same, and should be replaced.

The beach is eroding and not nearly as much as there was a few years ago. Sandbags are now a large part of the beach experience.
