Cosy timber cabin with everything we needed

Lovely log fire, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, easy walk into town and easy drive up to Kicking Horse for skiing.

The House was much larger than would have been adequate but it was enjoyed fully. We were not very demanding of its features. They were there at our disposal. Our stay and visit was unencumbered by the accommodation which we appreciated. Our was a great experience which I would certainly be inclined to repeat in the future, should the occasion arise!

Such a comfortable space

very easy to find and check in. great beds. overall space was very comfortable and relaxing. Wood stove was great although i could not find any fire starter so improvised with papers we had. Could have used a maul vs the axe to spit wood. Could walk to down town though it was several blocks. As Golden is a railroad town there is quite a bit of train rumbling overnight but the log structure dampened that well and there were no crossing horns. Good host communication. Overall just a great place to stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

On arrival the property had a musty/stale smell. General impressions of kitchen area were that it needed upgrading ie very dirty oven & cooker top, chipped and marked sink. The upstairs shower didn’t appear to work. Whilst the view of the mountains in the main bedroom through the very large window was excellent, the half height flimsy thin curtains were inadequate to keep out the light. Many of the thin curtains throughout the house had holes & tears in them. Compared with several other properties we stayed at on this holiday, which were considerably cheaper and far superior, the Hygge House was very poor value.

Great place, highly recommended!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the four nights spent at the property. Superb wooden interior, great amenities, quiet neighbourhood yet a short walk to the center of Golden with shops and restaurants. Interactions with Gili were a charm, he really made us feel at home. It was our first time in Golden but won't be our last and next time around, we will be looking again at staying at Gili's place!

Awesome property

Gili and Ava were very welcoming and helpful. Their house is just as the pictures show. We had a great stay and it’s only a short walk to downtown Golden. This is a great choice if you are looking for a comfortable 3 bedroom home in Golden.

Cozy, Cozy, Comfortable....

The house is fantastic and the hosts are superb. We had a great time and felt quite at ease during our stay. Our hosts were readily accessible and responsive to all of our inquiries. The place is well equipped and the layout is quite inviting and clean. The area of Golden is central to all of the parks and trails you want to visit. Golden was fabulous. Loads to do and convenient for the area. The house was amazing. Beds excellent and the house is very well equipped. Delighted with everything and very happy to have found it!

Great Stay

Gili was a great host and was always happy to help with any needs we had. The upstairs bedrooms got pretty warm but with the patio door and windows open we were able to cool them down fairly quickly. We propped up some cushions to block the stairs and had a great stay with 4 kiddos under 3! Close proximity to several parks and walking trails - we hope to stay at Gili's again soon.

Great little spot

Cozy little house. Our group loved the fire place and the patio had lots of seating with some great views. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and other things like coffee, spices, etc. Would stay here again. Thanks for hosting Gilli!
