The place was basically clean except the windows and sliding door tracks. The toilet seats are loose and unsafe. The towels are THIN. The deck furniture is busted apart and just left. The woodpeckers have destroyed the exterior window frames. The decks are in dire need of stain. A couple of the mattresses are terrible.
I stayed here over the New Year weekend with my family to visit the Yosemite Valley (~1 hr 20 min drive) and it was pretty on-par with the other reviews. It did smell pretty strongly like moisture upon entrance and had a number of things that needed general maintenance around the house, like door trims and flickering lights, which was a little disappointing considering the price of our stay.
Everything was just as described, and we enjoyed our stay. The two suggestions I would make are (1) replace the towels. They are very worn and dingy. (2) We had a difficult time finding the house because we were not given a house number. That number should be included in the directions.
Other than that, the checkin and checkout were easy, and the owner very accessible.
