First floor oceanfront condo in Ocean Dunes!

As of March 18, 2026, we were notified by the HOA that they are replacing of all sliders and windows in the Indoor Pool area of the Rec Center at Ocean Dunes. This is a two-phase project with the first phase starting Monday March 23 to Friday March 27. The second, larger phase will start on April 14 and end April 24.

During these two phases, the Indoor pool area will be closed to all owners and guests. (The gym and change rooms/saunas will be accessible during that time, with the exception of any period of time when the electricians will be working in the men's room where the hot tub equipment is housed).

Who doesn't love Ocean Dunes, with it's full compliment of recreational activities and decks fronting right on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. You will want to come back every summer to "Surfrider", a first floor two bedroom and two bath condo with amazing views. Located at the south end of the Ocean Dunes, this condo is oceanfront AND very close by to the wonderful Recreation Center with all of the amenities that will keep the kids busy and your heart healthy.

At "Surfrider" there is a King bed in the ocean side bedroom with en suite bathroom and direct access to the expansive deck. The street side bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed, and it is located beside a full bath. The sleeper sofa is located in the living room. The kitchen is efficiently designed and nicely equipped for meal prep and dinner time. There is a round dining table with seating for four and two barstools close by so everyone can enjoy the lively conversation or a few fish tales. The dining area flows into the den, which leads you outside to enjoy the sounds of the surf and plenty of seating/dining areas.

Ocean Dunes is an ideal year-round vacation spot for families! Located at the southern end of Pleasure Island, in Kure Beach next to Historic Fort Fisher, Ocean Dunes occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways. Included with your reservation is access to all the amenities Ocean Dunes offers, as well as the Recreation Center. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and cornhole. The Recreation Center has an indoor pool, whirlpool/spa, gym, saunas, and showers. Don't forget to plan a visit to Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium, or take the ferry over to Southport for a lovely stroll. Enjoy fishing from the Kure Beach pier, or dinner at some of our most famous restaurants. Take the family up to Carolina Beach for Thursday night fireworks, or Sunday movies, or just enjoy one of the oldest Boardwalk's on the East Coast. *Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).
