Located just 5 mins from Hillman Marsh, 10 mins from Wheatley Provincial Park, 15 mins from Point Pelee and downtown Leamington. Public boat launch and beach nearby. Host very responsive to questions, Location, neighbourhood was quiet,and safe. Host provided day pass to national park which was a real bonus. Would consider staying here again.

This was the perfect cottage to escape to for a few days! Check-in was easy and Lisa was very kind. The cottage had everything we needed and more. There were extra bathroom essentials in case we'd forgotten anything, extra soft fluffy towels, etc. The bed was comfy and fresh and I slept better than I had in a long time. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to cook when we didn't want to go out to eat. The living room furniture was also very comfy. The selection of board games as well as the smart tv were great for the brief rainy moments of our holiday. The front porch and the screened in seating on the back deck were great for sitting outside with a coffee and listening to/watching for all the returning migratory birds. It was great to be so close to the beach and so many awesome trails. We saw lots of different shorebirds at Hillman Marsh and explored a lot of Point Pelee National Park. I loved this place and would love to rent again in the future!

Very comfortable cottage near the beach

Tha cottage has everything you need, very clean with all ameneties. It has a nice beach in a walking distance and also other interesting things within a short drive, like Point Pelee National Park, ferry terminal to Point Pelee Island. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you, Lisa!

Stayed here with my son for a father /son getaway . The propery is very clean and well maintained. Its quoet and peaceful. We had a great stay at the cottage - it was super clean and provided everything needed for our stay with many small details such as extensive bathroom toiletries, an extremely well stocked kitchen, a binder with lots of information about the area and some snacks to enjoy. As this was my first booking with VRBO I was happy that the pictures in the posting were a true reflection of the cottage. I would definitely recommend this property. Lisa, the host, was great at communicating on the app.

A quick getaway

My wife and I wanted a few days to relax, unwind, eat mexicain food and do some bird watching. The "Nest" provided a perfect little spot to do all that. The owners were great to communicate with. And the place wss very clean. We have already talked about going back next year.

Quiet and Cozy

Bird's Nest is a perfectly cozy cottage, quiet and very clean. The check in was a breeze, and communication with hosts was fantastic. Was a lovely home away from home. I truly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back again!
