It had all the amenities we needed, especially to cook for a big group of people. Easy entrance, management was easy to get in touch with and coordinate with, and of course the house was beautiful. It was an excellent place and an excellent stay.

Spacious Accomodations

Beautiful well appointed chef's kitchen with ample space for multiple cooks. Lots of space for a multi gernerational family to spend time together yet still have privacy and elbow room. Wish there would have been another queen or king bed in one of the lower lever bedrooms. Loved our time there.

Everything was stunning! Kitchen was very well stocked! Enough towels, and bedding for everyone! Very quiet neighborhood. The house was very beautiful! Check-in was very easy. In fact, there was no actual check in. I just got an email with the code for the house so that was good for the whole weekend. Wi-Fi was a little spotty but usable. We rented a pontoon boat and the lake was awesome. We’d like to come again next year, but everything is booked up for the whole summer! Everyone loved the house and was grateful for a great weekend!

Amazing house on a lake

How has a lot of room for a large family gathering or function. How was everything we hoped for and more. I can't wait to rent it in the summer as we were there in the winter and it was spectacular.

Family Christmas getaway!

The house was perfect for our Christmas with the kids and grand children! Lots of room and nice big kitchen! Our week end get a way with the kids was great! We celebrated 2 of the kids birthdays!!! Played games, started putting a puzzle together and ate way to much! No problems even staying later on Sunday which was a plus for our big group!!! We did a seafood night on Friday night and they had all the big pots you’d need! Lots of extras if you for got anything! Would stay there again!

Overall great with a few hiccups!

The detail of property was spot on, great location right on the water!!! It’s a big house and unfortunately our AC wasn’t working when we got there and didn’t get fixed until the next day in the afternoon so those staying on main floor did not sleep well the first 2 nights because it was pretty darn warm. It was pretty clean however under a couple beds when we got there was still garbage from previous people that stayed so you could tell they did a quick vacuum around things but not underneath. Overall though it was a great spot and the property managers were great at keeping me updated on the air conditioning issues and when it was being attended to.

Fun family vacation

We enjoyed our stay at Badgerado. The house had plenty of space for our family. We enjoyed the double oven, and we made full use of the oversize refrigerator. The setting was very nice - semi-private due to all of the trees, and we could easily get to the dock to look out over Castle Rock Lake. It would have been helpful if the list of amenities had been more detailed. We asked the management company if expanded seating, a high chair, and a coffee grinder were available, We were told none of those was available, so we brought a card table, chairs, a coffee grinder, and a high chair. When we arrived, we found that all of them were already there - including three card tables, and three coffee grinders. There was also a very large table in the basement, overlooking the lake, which was a pleasant surprise. We know that it can be difficult for the home owner to keep tabs on all of the maintenance items, and we forwarded a list of all of the things that we found that require attention that we hope will be helpful. The management company corrected the things they could right away. The refrigerator/freezer was extremely loud. It was hard to talk in the kitchen when the refrigerator and freezer were running, which seemed to be most of the time. We understand a replacement is on order. The home needs a bit of TLC, but overall, we truly enjoyed the house and our stay there!

Awesome place!

This place was perfect. Nice long driveway to a beautiful house. Very roomy and huge kitchen area. We loved the commercial fridges and freezers for all our food we had. Quick response and answers to any questions. Definitely would not mind coming back again!

Absolutely Amazing!

This property is absolutely amazing! The weather didn’t cooperate with our outdoor plans but that was ok. The house was large enough for our group to spend indoors with other events. Cooking for 15 in this kitchen was fun, nothing I would change about this property! We will be back!

Limited view of lake

The house was nice but their is limited view to the lake. The property manager Sand County Management will say that it’s because of the DNR’s restriction on the lakefront but all the neighbors have cleaned up the brush along their lakefront and have nice views. Our biggest problem is with Sand County. I specifically asked about the lakefront for swimming and boat dockage. They sent me a picture prior to booking showing sand on the lakefront. The property is NOTHING like the picture. I notified them the morning after we arrived. We were forced to go daily to drive to find a beach area with the kids. A big inconvenience and cost. Also the universal boat lift in the listing is set up for a pontoon and will not handle most boats. I asked for small credit to reimburse us for our extra costs, boat dockage elsewhere and inconvenience. Sand County denied any liability for sending the picture. I will never rent one of Sand County’s properties again.

Great week! Badgerado 2 is a phenomenal home. It is located close to several good restaurants, Castle Rock Lake and Buckhorn State Park. The home is stocked with all the amenities that make your stay super comfy. The best perk is that it is so quiet and secluded from neighbors. Lots of space for your family to spread out. Questions were answered when I called, information on the area was shared via email and the final invoice was shared.

Awesome experience!! This cabin is incredible.

The property was absolutely impeccable! Very clean, fully stocked amenities, great location, the perfect size and amount of space. The only reason I scored the communication lower was because it was not needed. Everything was perfectly set up and available for our group, we had everything needed and so much more. I will say it could be advertised better for all that this place has to offer but then it might lose its “hidden gem” reputation…
