Ashley's parents, Fred & Kiya Bachmann, built The Stay Spa Retreat and they all work together as a family team to provide their guests with a space that’s welcoming, comfortable, and special.

Fred and Kiya love to travel, and after years of experiencing extraordinary spa treatments around the world, they decided to take the best of what they had experienced home. In 2007, they built the Stay Spa Retreat on Castle Rock Lake, Wisconsin, so guests could enjoy world-class relaxation without traveling far.

Fred, a second-generation builder of luxury homes and Kiya, a trained esthetician, bring their skills together to make the Stay Spa something truly unique.

"We wanted to create a spa suite with all the things we loved most from our travels," says Fred. "Now, our guests don’t have to go across the world to experience Japanese hot and cold plunges or the eucalyptus mists of Thailand."

The Stay Spa Suite features hot and cold plunges, a wellness therapy popular in Asia that’s just catching on in the U.S. "It’s great for your skin and helps the body heal," Kiya explains. The design also takes inspiration from well-known spas like Sybaris in Mequon, Sundara in Wisconsin Dells, and the Bellagio Spa and Salon in Las Vegas.

Fred, Kiya, and Ashley also own and operate Bachmann Pools, Spas and Saunas, a well-known hot tub, sauna, pool, endless pool, steam suite and cold plunge business in Madison, WI.
