The Wein Cottage is dog-friendly and will accept up to two dogs. However, there is a pet fee of $33/dog/night (before tax). Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Nice Place...& AWESOME SERVICE

The house itself is very nice, and we loved the discovery we found in the little house in the back yard--fun! Most importantly, it was clean and tidy. The only downside: There's no shade on the front door window OR on the two doors that exit into the back yard, which is just bothersome. As for the management company (Gastehaus Schmidt), they are WONDERFUL! My husband left his billfold (which Joy, who cleans the house, found) and the Office Mgr, Lance, made an extra effort to see that it was mailed back to us with as much confidentiality as possible. Both of these people deserve huge kudos for that fact that they truly do care about people.

Nice and clean

This is a good location. It is a little off from the main street but still not very far. Love that the master bedroom is somewhat separated. Great hosts and very responsive.

21st birthday trip

The house was super cute. It was decorated for Christmas which was a nice surprise! We enjoyed hanging out back and built a fire in the pit. Great location. We had a great trip.

Great house for a family trip

This was a great house for a quick family getaway. Well appointed, comfortable, and clean. About a mile from the main drag and 10-20 mins from the majority of wineries.

The house was comfortable, but there were 5 of us and not enough chairs or room to all sit at dining table. Also, the supplies were not sufficient for our 3 day stay. We had to purchase paper towels and refill soap dispensers. Also it was a good thing we brought our own shampoo as there was only one bottle. We washed the master comforter as it was dirty.

wonderful stay!

The Wein Cottage had everything we needed for our weekend in the hill country. The house is beautifully decorated. Even though you are just 2 houses off Milam, we couldn't hear any traffic. We had all the kitchen supplies to make a few dinners for the kids and we enjoyed lounging out in the backyard!

Beautiful Cottage

The Wein Cottage was a Dwight! The king-size bed in main bedroom was the most comfortable bed I've slept in! The linens were so soft. The windows in all bedrooms had blackout drapes. The home is beautifully decorated and host had kitchen staples on hand and lots of silverware and dish ware. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable house for a girls' weekend

We loved our stay at the Wein Cottage. The house was very clean with a great location. The beds were amazing - I usually don't sleep well when traveling but the Wein cottage was set up perfectly for my needs and I slept very well. I went with my mom, my friend and her mom. And the house was set up great and we had plenty of room to spread out. The back porch area was a great place to sit and catch up at the end of the day.

What to bring

Great place to stay! However if you travel by suitcase you need to bring an iron and ironing board. Also make sure you bring paper towels, lotion, etc. sometimes we are use to hotels and this is a house so you don't t have all the Lots or dogs barking next door so hard to sleep in. Overall a great place to stay just need to know what you need to bring and if you are a light sleeper not easy.

Lovely home and with everything needed inside to make our stay enjoyable and easy ! We have stayed in a few different properties recently , and the wine and Christmas cheer upon arrival was a sweet surprise. Backyard needs a bit of work and no chairs to sit at fire pit unless you move deck furniture but not a big deal because the weather didn't cooperate for much outside time. We would come back to be sure

We enjoyed having a whole house that was pet friendly for visit to Fredericksburg. The neighborhood is very quiet and walking our pet was enjoyable. There is also a fenced in backyard. We stay at a lot of vrbos and this one had the most we’ve ever seen in terms of supplies. Tge kitchen is very well equipped, although we ate out every night. It is a quick 5 minute drive to the visitor center which is the perfect place to park and walk up and down Main Street. After a day of exploring we enjoyed coming back Wein cottage to relax for the evening. A must must see is the National Museum of the Pacific War !! Also highly recommend to book a wine tasting at Inwood Estates! And go to Wildseed Farms andLuckenbachWe stayed 5 nights and there is still so much more to do. We plan to return. Thankyou Wein Cottage.

Birthday Celebration

We stayed 3 nights at the property. There was plenty of room for our group of 5. It was clean and had all the necessities. We were able to drive to downtown easily and enjoy all Main Street had to offer. We were also 15-20 minutes from most wineries and Enchanted Rock. We would definitely stay at the property again!
