American Wedding Party

This place was the absolute cutest, most comfy location we stayed in during our journey down under. We traveled from the states to attend the wedding of a childhood friend at the book barn. This location was perfect for our two families and all the kiddos. Close to amenities and close to the venue. Recommend 100%

Brilliant property

We were wowed from the moment we arrived. The rooms and house are much bigger and brighter the photos suggest, the kitchen and bathrooms have been beautifully renovated, thoughtful luxury finishes like underfloor heating and bonus books and games for all ages. We would have loved to stay longer.

Little gem

A warm & inviting home away from home. There was nothing to fault. The home included everything we needed for a weekend with friends. Lounge was super comfy by the fire and the beds ensured a great night sleep. Will be back again.

Highlands Getaway

Ponsonby is a delightful cottage in a great location in Mittagong. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants and shops. It is very spacious and well appointed with some generous kitchen and bathroom supplies to get you started. Lovely garden to enjoy. Very comfortable for 6 adults and an infant.

Hidden Historic Gem

We chose this accommodation because of the glowing reviews from previous guests and we certainly were not disappointed. Our booking and check-in were seamless. Adam and Nat were responsive and most accommodating of our requests.The home and gardens were just beautiful! I felt like I had stepped back into a bygone era, yet we still had all the modern cons including 2 newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen.The range free eggs, wine and chocolates were a very personal touch which were appreciated. We were close to local restaurants, bakeries, cafes and pubs which was great.I highly recommend our stay at this beautiful residence and will certainly be back when it is cooler so we can have a glass of red around the fire!

Great location, old world charm

My girlfriends and I (five women in total) had a very enjoyable stay. Although the weather was wet and drizzly and we could not make use of the beautiful gardens we enjoyed our time at the house. The bedrooms, bathrooms and all amenities, linen, towels etc are top quality, overall very clean uncomfortable.

Beautiful cottage

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend with our family of five. Beautifully renovated with all the extras, immaculate garden and close to the village of Mittagong. We'll definitely be back!

Peaceful Christmas

A wonderful house to gather the family in. We were more than happy to spend time with everyone in the lounge or the kitchen/dining. The dining table is large enough to fit everyone, and also great to play games on.

This house had absolutely everything we wanted for a family get together. Tastefully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped with a very pretty garden. All within easy walking distance of shops. We loved it!

Fantastic cottage in Mittagong

This property was superb. A gorgeous cottage , meticulously renovated,with every creature comfort catered for.Every bed was comfortable, even the towels were luxurious.Thr kitchen is large and very well equipped, we wanted for nothing . The location is fantastic, we just strolled to great coffee and the lake at the end of the road was lovely to wander around . We would love to have stayed longer, and will definitely return.

Lovely home away from home

Ponsonby is a beautifully decorated property with all the comforts of home. Check in was very easy and we loved the little touches like the wine, chocolates and free range eggs. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed taking multiple walks around Lake Alexandra which is only a short stroll down the road. This was our second stay at Ponsonby and we are keen to visit again. Wonderful property

We had such a beautiful stay at Ponsonby in Mittagong. Adam and Nat have gone above and beyond to ensire there is everything you could need for your stay. We arroved to chocolates, wine and farm free eggs which was such a lovely touch. The bedrooms were all gorgeous with comfy bedding. We didn't want to leave! We would definitely book again - and stay longer!

Just perfect

I cannot think of anything to improve. It turns out that Mittagong is a lovely little town and this place is just amazing. It's an old cottage, superbly renovated and furnished with antiques. The kitchen, laundry and bathrooms are all modern and functional but the living spaces are tastefully and interestingly furnished and decorated. Three MAMIL cyclists stayed for the Bowral Classic which was, unfortunately cancelled. We cycled around the area anyway and had a great weekend. I would highly recommend this place as a base to explore the area.

Perfect weekend retreat

Ponsonby is perfect in every way. There is not one thing that could be better. We loved our daily walks around the lake and our beautiful back yard. Thank you Adam and Nat for your hospitality. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Perfect in everyway!

We had the most wonderful couple of nights stay. The property is a beautiful cottage equipped with anything you could ever need, super clean also! The gardens are gorgeous and perfect to sit out in the sunshine, the children loved the books and games! Location wise it was also perfect, just a short walk to the park and restaurants, pub, Woolworths, Dan Murphy's etc. I would 1000% recommend this property. Thank you so much Adam and Nat

Ponsonby was home away from home

We absolutely loved the Ponsonby. Check in process was easy, as Adam and Nat had sent a message prior to checking in the instructions on how to get in. When we went in, the heating was switched on so the house was warm for us (that day was unbelievably cold!). The house looked modern, combined by antique decor which brought a unique taste to the accommodation. I enjoyed the little touch of details - the neatly rolled up towels, the complimentary eggs, the ease of access to the wifi password, the extra wardrobes, the long table, the extra pillows and games stored at the cupboards, and the usage of "thankyou" body and hair products. The kitchen was equipped with many utensils, cutlery and gadgets which made cooking easier. The bathroom floor was heated and the shower was perfect. I also loved how there is a mixture of children's storybooks and DVDs for my children to watch and read at their free time. Ponsonby was also very close by to many amenities - we walked to ALDI and Woolies easily (around 10 min walk), whilst there were many cafes and takeaway chains close by too. The Lake Alexandra was only a very short distance walk which my children loved the playground. The neighbourhood was filled with a lovely vibe and we even said it would be a nice place to retire and relax! The place was more than enough. Thank you Adam and Nat.

Fabulous Stay

I don’t know what to say about this beautiful property. The house and gardens were just beautiful. The house was beautifully decorated but you still felt very comfortable. The amenities supplied were great and the best we have experienced. The hosts have thought of everything. The communication with the hosts was great and they left great instructions about the house and local information. The location of the property in Mittagong was fabulous. We have already recommended this property to friends and family. Thank you for making our family event even more special.
